English translators for mangas and anime should just simply do their job and translate. No adding dead meme references and politics, or just changing the meaning of things said entirely to things that weren't even remotely close to what was said before. I think so. The whole thing with the LGBT ppl using slurs is because they're reclaiming words that are meant to hurt them or something like that. If the f slur can be used to hurt bi ppl, then they should be able to say it.   reply

These are mostly tropes, but jfc Probably ab*sive yakuza x debtor or powerful ab*sive person x slave for similar reasons. I just don't see how these MCs fall for someone who treats them (and potentially their family and friends) like shii. -Love triangles, but mostly because they're usually done poorly. I don't like them much either besides a few non smutty ones here and there. They sexualize minors and lack any plot. It also bothers me how they often get the characters' personalities completely wrong even when it's not like an au scenario where that change would make sense lol.   reply

Personally, I wish someone told me to avoid Obey Me and I Like You. Obey Me's story just pointless and nothing mattered. I Like You was fun, but then they added another couple that was the Love Interest's Dad and the MC's classmate and that was a solid nope for me. Depends on what you're into tho.   reply
