Annoying overused character setting
Anyone tired of seeing female characters in a fantasy action? It's like 95% of fantasy action novel or webtoon must include female characters who's reason is to fall for MC.
Just reading a martial art novel and for some reason this arrogant zhuge girl who MC just spar 1st meeting suddenly went blushing full of delusional horny thoughts in 2nd meeting after seeing MC's naked top after exercising unable to have a proper spar.
Delusional horny female ones are always the most annoying types. Works faithful to the genre without distracting subplots are rare these days. ヽ(`Д´)ノ
i'm more tired of seeing men in fantasy action honestly. really need an action manga with a female lead and absolutely zero romance/major male characters 4 reply
Maybe this is just worded weirdly but why complain about seeing female characters in fantasy novels and not the fact that authors refuse to write them in a way that makes them more than a romantic interest for the mc. Also there are tons of great female characters in fantasy novels/webtoons sooo 1 reply
i want more non chalant female leads. like ones that are least kuu dere or something.
i especially hate it when they are shown to be extremely confident/strong and then they get dumbed down or flustered right away when ml is near them. 1 reply
Tired of black/dark haired, average looking, average personality, male main characters in action/fantasy shounen. Like there's no risk in their creation; just generic personalities and basic character design that lack specific qualities that may alienate them from the wider demographic. They're strictly relatable/predictable because they're obvious...... 1 reply
That’s why Dungeon Meshi is so refreshing to me, like theres Marcille who’s the only girl in the party and she’s just a funny character.
No weird baity fan-service stuff. And she’s strong too, in the same level with the other characters

The biggest problem with this trope isn’t the FACT that there are female characters in a fantasy action, to me, and I hope most people, that’s inherently a good thing, it broadens the character spectrum and (I say this as a woman myself) it’s nice to see representation of strong female characters (wether they are the MC or not).
The problem...... 1 reply
They do it because general public likes it, it’s popular for a reason. Also idk why you phrase it like that since the issue is only the love interest or part of a harem, it’s not like all female characters are bad. You should be blaming an author. 1 reply
When a character is pretty or avarage looking but the entirety of the cast is convinced they are the most hideous creature to walk the earth these tropes only create more body dysmorphia and unrealistic beauty standards and make people miserable I really hope they would stop doing this reply
you just suck at picking a good read but I got you bro. go read superhuman era for badass females characters. not only they're super strong (hell, they're among the strongest), they're basically the mc of some arc 2 reply
