How bad is it to date someone 2 years younger than you? I’m 18 yo but the dude is 16 and it feels wrong in a way. He’s still in high school while I am in college , and just that makes me feel weird. But he’s a nice guy, he have the same humor, knows how to take a joke, it’s not impulsive, knows how to be respectful and not to cross the line (not like other people my age) and I genuinely like to be with him. We have a language barrier but that doesn’t bother him nor he makes fun of it. I honestly don’t think is that bad, I’m just scared that I’ll get judge from people ik
2 years isn’t bad.
A lot of teenagers where I come from in highschool date their seniors (who are usually 17/18 years old) , so I don’t have a problem with it and I think others shouldn’t.

Personally I think it's bad lol like 2 year age difference isn't bad nor is it too much of a problem but between a 16 y/o and an 18 y/o the difference in maturity is HUGE like if a 20 y/o and a 22 y/o date it's ok because they're aren't separated by grade levels especially in terms of maturity. I wouldn't date the dude. Your in college now and he's in highschool.. guys supposedly mature slower than woman so I'd just be even stranger. You can do better and find another guy later.

I'm in a similar situation.
Honestly it depends, personally and legally its not that bad. But some people may think its strange due to the potentially maturity difference.
As long as you and him are happy and there are no complaints from his parents then i think it is justified.
And if people you know judge you for it then maybe they are people ...... reply
kinda icky but i don't think it's that bad, at least not as black and white as when someone in their 20s dates a minor. you should prolly keep it wholesome until he's a bit older though reply
at the end of the day, it depends on your s/o honestly. if he’s able to comprehend that he is with someone who holds a different set of responsibilities as a college student than a highschool student, it’s all good. sometimes the wavelength can be very different when you date with someone with a gap in maturity. it’s like a college student da...... reply
