Am I ungrateful for disliking translations that aren’t done well? I feel like it takes away from the story and makes it hard to enjoy whatever I’m trying to read.
I’m talking about translators that rely on MTL and admit themselves that they don’t know what they’re doing or that it might be bad. Why post in the first place?
I also know that my opinion is unpopular but I guess I just want to know if there are others who feel similarly to me…
Honestly i feel the same way but ONLY for series that have been picked up by a translation team. Like literally what’s the point of posting your shitty MTL translations with big ass fucking logos everywhere when people know they can get a higher quality version somewhere else? Well IMO I think it's okay if you gave a polite criticism, especially if the translator doesn't rely on MTL. But you should bear in mind that this is an illegal site, which mean that you really don't have the "right" to criticize, after all you aren't paying for this bad translation, and the translators aren't paid for their works either, so yeah, ...... 1 reply
I don't know why people think its such a devastating and rude thing to say u dont like a translation. It's not that deep! but if you're the type to complain over one or two misspellings, then you're the problem 1 reply
I don’t see the point in posting bad translations. And by bad I don't mean one or two spelling mistakes, but machine translations. If anything, the machine translations annoy me cause I see the notification of what I'm reading that's updated, and then get disappointed upon seeing these awful translations that don't even make sense.

Trying to read bad translations is like trying to read a book in a foreign language. That you don't speak. Why would someone give you a book you can't even read and expect you to be great ful on top of it!? The worst is groups like Coolmic.
