Realistic nightmares (tw. Sleep paralysis?)
Does everyone once in a while get a nightmare that feels so real you think is reality? I just woke up feeling so scared because In my dream I was in my bed like normal but then I couldn't move and I felt "things" (I think arms ) restraining me then I heard a comforting voice shushing me to sleep (I thought it was my mom's voice) but I couldn't, and I tried screaming or moving... At the end I woke up and my hand that was trying to move the arm was against the wall... I think I was suffocating in the sheets. I had one wrapped against my neck.
Just so you know, I don't think I've experienced s/a. (Like I'm sure about it not being psychically but not so much if other aspects? I'm talking nonsense probably rn I'm half asleep I think?) Also before falling asleep I was dizzy. My head was spinning and my eyelids felt heavy... I'm in my family house this place is safe. I don't understand what could have trigger this?

Could mostly be due to stress, anxiety, or the way you sleep, but tbh I'm not 100% sure. What i can recommend though is for you to remain calm when/if you experience it again. Trying to force yourself to physically move can lead you to experience more stress since sleep paralysis is mainly due to you waking up prematurely, though I cant really talk...... 1 reply
Some tips for sleep paralysis
1. Don’t panic
2. Calm yourself and stabilize your breathing
3. Don’t try to move your body or make voice (since it won’t work lol and it’ll make the situation much more worse.)
4. Just stay calm, in a few minutes you’ll get back to nomal…or maybe not 1 reply
