I can understand why people may say something. In some stories, the bromance is so beautiful you can’t help but wish for that little bit more. Or they make such great enemies that the tension and chemistry is high and you just think, damn just shag already lol.
Not sure why it bothers you? Its just passing comments that appreciate connections between well written characters with strong interpersonal dynamics. It’s not a demand that the author change their genre, just wistful, wishful thinking shared to see if others feel the same way.
