Is it possible to be suicidal without being depressed?

mental health is a touchy subject ,, but it's fascinating how the mind works to cope . my personal knowledge is based on my experiences and others i know ,, depression is terrifying , truely . if you want this question answered professionally , i suggest contacting a psychiatrist .   reply

I’m pretty sure everyone experiences this. I have suicidal thoughts but I’m not depressed. My suicidal thoughts come from the stress of school and I found out my cousin who is one year younger than me has suicidal thoughts.   reply

I've never really thought about it that way, but I'm sure it is possible. Depression isn't just being sad all of the time it's a mental illness, not an emotion and everyone experiences it differently. Your brain is developing, whether you like it or not. I thought about ending it too, but I've been diagnosed with depression so Idk if it's normal f......   reply

I was and still suicidal since I was 5yr - I am 26yr now and giving myself time limit till 30 to finally do it , i was bullied in school and grow up in abusive home , both my parents were mentally and physically abusive .. I have issues , but I don't think I had depression until like 5 years ago when I kept failing in college and repeating years ......   2 reply

I think everyone has experienced suicidal thoughts at least once. I don't think it's from depression. More like stress from everyday thoughts and wanting to escape reality. I'm like that too but I'm not depressed so   reply
