Growing to hate BL...
Ok chill I'm playing with you, I don't HATE it, that's a pretty big word, but I just find myself not wanting to read them anymore. Am I the only one who's having this kind of phase? Idk how or when, I just realised that every time I see a Manhwa/manga/manhua Recommendations and it has to boys in it, I beg in my head while I search it to not be BL (Because yeah my Newsfeed has things I'm interested in, and BL is simply one of them) and if it is BL, I get disappointed...? Is that the right word? Like I don't feel like reading it because of it is BL... and I'm getting frustrated for feeling it, is this what people call a burnout? When something you really like suddenly doesn't interest you anymore? Because it's frustrating AF, especially because it's something I've liked for years, like the other genre I like, but why this genre specifically?I wanna let go cause deadass it stresses me out, but like it's been thier for so long that I'm not sure if I should. I Like I wanna read it and enjoy it, but I somehow can't...?
LOL Why did I make this sound like such a serious topic? ╥﹏╥ Yes I'm deadass frustrated by it, something I once enjoyed is annoying the hell out of you, but why do I feel like I made it sound like A life or Death situation?

preferences and tastes change all the time. you never know one day you might wanna read them again. if you feel annoyed by them I'd say you should avoid reading some for a while and find some other genre or activity that makes you comfortable. there's nothing wrong with losing interest, happens to everyone at some point.

this happens to me whenever I see that a new chapter of something has been updated lmao the genre doesn't matter, I just lose interest having to wait reply
What is the problem? It’s normal to be in the mood for something different after a while. Go read whatever genre sparks your interest. Maybe some time down the track you will feel a spark of nostalgia to return to BL, maybe you won’t. It’s not a problem as long as you have something else to immerse yourself in.

Idk maybe you just need to take a break from it? The same thing happened to me with tv shows and anime. It felt like more of a coure (forgot how to spell it) than actually wanting to do it. You might feel unmotivated to read or maybe you just read like way to many and got bored of it quickly. Or maybe you just like or want to try a different genre. reply
same that always happens to me which is so annoying in tv shows and animes that i watch or like when a manhwa/manga/manhua that just got updated from a long break that i really loved at first, but i would just ignore it and not read it until i have nothing to read but force myself to read it again. or a fictional character that i like but realized...... reply
