Am I the only one who feels unhappy inside and have to pretend to be happy during my bithday? I mean like all people pretend to be nice during your birthday and it's freaking suffocating. It feels so hollow, so empty.
You are always growing closer to death. Birthdays are to celebrate being born, not that complicated. However, I wonder why we celebrate them when they were likely a day of torture for our moms. Shouldn't birthdays be the day we as make sure they know we appreciate them? Just my thoughts on it.
