This whole yuri is made for men argument is so tired and is false, the valse majority of yuri mangakas are women, yuri is not the opposite of BL ( which is made by women for women) even citrus is made by a woman! so yeah stop comparing both genre, Only BL has got a lot of fetishisation
Both genres have their fair share of fetishization man, plus some BL's are made by women and maybe some GL's (yuri's) are made by men. Just because a genre is aimed towards a specific audience does not mean it gatekeeps itself from other people too. People are allowed to enjoy what they want.

yuri is fetishized as much as yaoi but people just dont talk about it, straight men do fetishize it but they are not called out for doing so. sure, yuri is made by women but men consume it more and not in a good way 1 reply
