so I was on tiktok and I saw a women that was talking about her life experience on s*xual assault so I called her a savage for going through all that but then someone started saying in my replies that savage is a slur ???? then someone replied being like wtf do you mean and they started getting mad and they're like. Having a full on arguement in my replies but thats not the point, so back to the question is savage a new slur ???? since when ???
There are two definitions to savage, the modern one and the traditional one.
Savage is now used to describe someone that is bold, and still has a high self worth and confidence despite the shit that was thrown at them.
Traditionally however, the word means a beast or uncivilized or uncultured person.
