The ppl in some bl comments are really starting to piss me off. I finished reading a manga where there was a guy who was too possessive of his lover and basically abused and raped him. And the comments literally support their relationship?? There’s so many red flags hell even the guy didn’t change he’s still manipulative to his love interest. Someone even said that the toxic lover never raped and always treasured his love interest. He literally held him captive. And in other bls many people just condone toxic behavior like what the fuck. Im fucking pissed off that rape is overlooked in so many bls not only that the ppl reading it too, they just love seeing it. It makes me so fucking mad. I’m just tired of seeing it.
And don't forget that if you make a comment about this (toxic relationships, abuse, rape) they start attacking you immediately. They act like you insulted them personally. A bunch of idiots, all of them.
honestly i think its because there are way too many minors here who dont have the maturity to see these red flags. predatory and manipulative relationships are romanticized in media and many people grow up thinking that this is how relationships are supposed to look like. people are becoming aware of consent and its importance thanks to social media but theres still a long way to go. this isnt a problem only in bl, its a cultural problem.
