I'm currently in the city , this is happening in my village where my dad is from. We're invited.This is supposed to be ILLEGAL in my country but apparently the dude is some religious preacher so whatever is happening is holy. If I inform the police they'll marry me off to a tree (that shit happens here to whoever who goes against the gram Panchayat) and my parents will discontinue my education. The horrors of living in a 3rd world country. The marriage is in four days. How tf do I help her I have no means to visit the village unless it's the wedding day & apparently the girl gave full consent because she had a dream where Hindu God Ram asked her to get married Wack.

Do you know if your parents think the marriage is wrong too? If not, without asking them outright/directly, try indirectly to get them to tell you their opinion. If they agree with you, it'll be safer if you get your father (or mother, but I imagine that in these situations that an older male...... reply

Call the police and before you tell them everything you know tell them that you wish to remain anonymous for your safety. Don’t call them from your actual phone(or they’ll know who you are), use a pay phone or buy one of those one time uses phone. Good luck hun! reply

Probably ask one of your "sensible guy" friends to inform the police as they won't be married of to a tree and nor will their Ed be discontinued. If that is not possible tweet on Twitter calling out the Indian govt and the child helpline ppl.
And 12 is not the legal age of marriage in India for girls so u can probably even complain in ur local poli...... reply
