I've heard some of these but "don't cry" was only said to me more recently when I was growing up mom used to say "you don't cry blood" and just leave. If did something to disappoint her she wouldn't say anything, she would just give me a very sad look and if I miss behaved she would dump cold water on me.

I wish mine said that. All i get is your probably going to be on the streets, if you fail then better for me since i don't have to pay for higher education and if you don't study ut doesn't matter when your 18 and not going uni your getting out my house.
