Are straight women that read bl manga fetishizing?
I’ve seen a lot of people on here argue about this so i’m gonna give my take on this. Probably gonna get cancelled
So my answer is yes but, if that’s the only kind of media they consume then it’s fetishization and they use it to get off then it’s fetishization.
This also isn’t based just on my opinion. I’ve asked many different members of lgbtq+ community that i know and a lot of have agreed with me. Some others disagreed but yea I just wanted to see you guys’ opinions.
Speaking as a gay man... it's not. It's a fictional setting with characters that really only vaguely resemble real life LGBT experiences.
I think the only way you get into fetishizing is if a fan (could be anyone tbh, cis straight girl or not) somehow super imposed this desire to see gay men with each other in real life despite the people in ques...... 1 reply
