In the 6th grade, I was treated like I had the flesh eating disease. I thought that was all fun and games until someone knocked over their open pencil case. I told them I picked it up & cleaned up the mess, and as thanks, they hot-potatoed it with someone else, right in front of me. at the same school, I'd play with this group of kids, who were among the few my age who didn't treat me like someone who needed quarantine. even then they still treaded me like shit. one of the guys there would call me names and, when we weren't playing demeaning (yet still somehow fun) games, would lead the group in actively ditching me. the only reasons I didn't think of this as bullying was because I enjoyed myself when we were together, and the actual ditching was few & far between. wasn't until about 5 years later, when the guy was stupid enough to fb message my older sister saying "remember me? I used to bully your sister", that I realized they were jerks. 7th grade was better, but not by much. people still treated me like I had a disease, and one of the few people willing to hang out with me would say things like "something's wrong with you" and "I'm your only friend". my coping methods were manga/anime, and not touching people.
