Memoir(?!) of a fujoshi *laugh*

My first BL experience was with DBSK fanfiction 10 years ago. I didn't seek it out myself. One of my friends gave me the link to the fanfic, I clicked, and I can't turn away from BL since.

A few of my first yaoi are Boys Next Door, Okane ga Nai, and View Finder. I used to think Okane ga Nai was really cute. Over the years, though, my taste has changed a lot. I am no longer into fanfictions (they tend to make me cringe, especially ones about real people) and I am more into slice of life, comedy yaoi now. Okane ga Nai has became too saccharine and cliche for me *laugh*. Although there are things that do not change, such as I still think Maruya Kae's drawing is so pretty! Sensei's "The Secret Agreement" was also one of the early one I read (weird plot but a serious case of eye candy!). I am such a sucker for pretty drawings *sigh*

I am glad I found yaoi. The genre is what I had hoped shoujo and josei to be. Not every yaoi is my cup of tea, but the genre is big enough so that if I want to read works that are funny, sexy, cute but not too saccharine, andaddicting without all the never ending love triangle drama, I will be able to find several of them!

Some of my all time favourites: Honto Yajuu, Risou no Koubito, Kawaii Akuma, Kaze No Yukue, Totally Captivated, Bukiyou na Silent, Usagi Otoko Tora Otoko, etc.
