I started reading the omegaverse trope in fanfiction. As like some weird byproduct of werewolves, but the writers didnt want to write werewolf stories or it was like “imagine… Sherlock Holmes… but MPREG?!?!?”

I read some novel's about it and I would say that the novel's are better than the mangas/webtoons. Most of the time in mangas or webtoons the omega goes into heat and the alphas suddenly get attracted to them and rapes them like animals. It’s always the same plot, a omega accidentally releasing their pheromones or going into heat in public. Let me tell you sum too, rape is always included in those stories. All the time.

Imma vent it here since we are finally at it. Omegaverse is unnecessary and it's too much, has stupid plot and over the top. Sometimes it even normalises rape culture. I don't like it (except Dear Benjamin because the plot is solid, it's much more than omegaverse) I read love is an illusion but i dislike how sex is used to solve every fricking prob...... 1 reply
People who have to make up an illogical 2nd set of genders just to explain away their Victorian reasoning for why the ability to get pregnant is a sign of weakness, or that all people with wombs secretly want a big strong man to rape them disgust me.

I read omega verse if it is light in the story. Most omega verse plots are just the omegas accidently releasing their pheromones and shit which is not my thing and usually end up with rape. That’s the typical omega verse plot line so I don’t usually read omega verse.
