3 stars for the main couple. 1 star for the side couple. The premise is interesting, but the execution is average. I really hate how short each chapter is. And I especially hate the fact that halfway through the story the author started switching back and forth between the main couple and the side couple (whom I do not like at all), sometimes mid-chapter and mid-scene. It was very annoying.
The side couple is your average naive uke x sadistic POS seme. Uke is a socially awkward, rude and inconsiderate person who needs a lot of growing up to do. Which is not a very good character for a side character since there's not a lot of room for him to grow. Seme is an asshole. He basically rapes the uke. He's horrible during sex, only caring about his needs despite the uke being formally straight and a bj and anal virgin. I could care less about these two and don't see them working out in the long run. The author tried to redeem them a little bit at the end but I don't believe it. They’re a side couple of a story that is already short to begin with.
Also, I hate that the main uke revealed his painful past in front of their friend group (at the rude questioning of the side uke) first instead of to his bf first. Although the author then cancelled that out cuz main seme already saw it all through his premonitions lol. It just made a potentially poignant and heartfelt moment fall flat. And in hindsight, feels more like character building for the side uke rather than for the main uke.
God I really hated the side ocuple lol. My hate for them overshadows whatever good feelings I have for the main couple and the story as a whole - as you can see in my review lol.
