4 stars. Childhood besties. Haruto is a golden child. Shun is the opposite. For some reason, Haruto is in love with Shun. Shun wants to remain friends as he doesn’t feel he’s good enough for Haruto but can’t help feeling territorial over Haruto’s friendship with his (Haruto’s) former tutor/their current student teacher. I really like the art style. The comedy is really good.. I like how Haruto lasted 2 seconds when they had sex for the first time. I mean, he’s not good at sports & the most exercise he gets is running away from a serious conversation - of course he would lack the stamina for anything more than 2 pumps lololol. It was a realistic (and funny) part of the story. Also, Teacher Kido is a funny character. He’s set up in a way to make all your alarm bells go off. And he’s the type of person who would be really infuriating to be around lol but I did enjoy his character. I wish the resolution was more drawn out. They reconciled, immediately fucked, and were back in la la love land the next day. The ending would be better improved by exploring Shun getting over his insecurities, jealousy and inferiority complex. And while Haruto does have some bad traits, they're not as bad as Shun so in contrast, his character comes off like an angel at times. I mean, his only bad traits seem to be that he's a cry baby and likes hanging out with a sus adult. We really got only 1 chapter that focused on him and it didn't tell us much beyond that. Wish the mangaka explored more of him coming to terms with his sexuality and how isolated he felt (although that was mainly due to Shun distancing himself due to jealousy).

CH1: The translators completely misunderstood what Seok says. And this part is actually very important since it sets up the main conflict of this short story *facepalm* >>>>>Translator: “I __AM__…a man who is no longer a virgin…I believe that I should die….” >>>>>What Seok probably said (I don’t have the raws but based on context clues): “I __BELIEVE__…a man who is no longer a virgin…should die….”

Ch5.5 2 unicorns appear: - a consensual dom/sub relationship - the Dom/top gets very jealous and possessive and realizes he's being a dum dum before doing something stupid that harms the sub/bottom

The only good thing was the art. Hated the characters. Pushover simp MC. Typical removed, cold ML. Perverted rapist SL. I don't like the SL so I didn't like that he slept with MC first lol It's the typical love triangle with the MC who chases after the cold ml while the second lead who treats MC better (except for the whole forced BJ thing) chases after MC, except that ML and second lead share a body. The love story is so shallow. You don't really see why the characters fall in love with and feel so intensely for each other, they just do because they said so. And the ending is so lame. I know realism isn't too be expected from smutty BL but come on! Who the hell would choose to keep living with a disruptive mental disorder when they can miraculously self cure just because their BF will feel dad that their alter is gone???? Also it's ridiculous that MC is friends with ML's sister and it never came up in conversations that she had a brother who went to the same school as them? Ch18 forced BJ on a drunk uke ugh

Ch6 Dude had a crush on his bff who probably had a crush back but if acting all elusive and mysterious, flirting with him while simultaneously making a big fuss about maybe pursuing their mutual girlfriend who has a crush on ML ughhhh but gets jealous and possessive when MC shows empathy towards the guy from cram school whoo head a crush on their girlfriend ughhh. I find this quite boring. These first 6 chapters aren't hooking me in and the story is just so boring and predictable.

4 stars *TRIGGER WARNING* Uke gets sexually assaulted in chapter 3 (not by seme thank God). Two guys named Izumi. One's a pushover who does everyone's bidding. The other is a riché loner who gets pissed off when he's mistaken for the pushover Izumi. The premise of the story is an interesting way to quickly push two characters together and it's not something I've seen before in comics. I like the art and the story and the pacing. I like that the characters exhibit a lot of growth by the end of the story. I also really appreciate that by the end of the story, while pushover izumi is trying his best to move on with his life, he is still affected by the sexual assaults. It takes time to heal from traumatic events and unfortunately it is a too common in romance comics, especially BL, for the characters to jump into sex the literal minute right after being sexually assaulted as if rape was just a minor inconvenience to them. And I like that loner izumi calls him out for trying to move too fast since a lot of the times in this genre, the victim may display some after effects of sexual assault but then their partner just selfishly bulldozes past all their PTSD so the partner can get a nut in.

Ch26 Ok the story starts off very typical for a love triangle BL: ️typical emotionally stunted goodlooking asshole ML sunbaetch seme (silver haired version) ️typical simpering Korean BL uke ️SL who just seems like the better option simply for the fact that he ISN’T ML lol (step-bro version *cue porn music*) So we got a gay sadboi with no self respect in a shitty situationship with his hot and popular, previously-straight sunbaetch. He gets a new step-bro and they are forced to GASP! share a room and bed for rEaSoNs!!! And so starts the struggle to see which seme’s dick is the perfect sword for uke’s sheath…….but then around ch7, you start to get an inkling that something’s not right. I guess I should have realized the creator who had previously made a supernatural zombie BL wouldn’t give us a typical modern BL. ****SPOILERS AHEAD**** Turns out sunbaetch isn’t just being his asshole self when he keeps ignoring step-hyung. Even the mob characters are experiencing the same thing. And then sunbaetch starts unintentionally hurting MC when he didn’t mean to. Yeah…that’s what all abusers say…..*bombastic side-eye*....except maybe he IS sincere?? Cuz while he’s not quite on sunbaetch’s level (yet), step-hyung is giving more and more yandere no-no signals. And then we get to ch14 where we learn that apparently, lonely and outcasted baby MC was in the woods and made a wish to have someone by his side and it seems step-hyung came to fulfill his wish. Now the question is who or WHAT is step-bro and is he malicious? Or rather, how malicious is he since he’s pretty comfy letting others hurt MC to push MC towards himself The only thing we know about him at this point is that he’s creepily obsessed with MC and seems to have powers of persuasion and mind-altering abilities that he seems to use to make other people believe and even do certain things. ****RANDOM THOUGHTS**** Ch7 - at least MC has some level of understanding of how shitty his situationship is but unfortunately at this point he feels stuck and doesn't really know how to get himself out of it. That's what happens when you're a pushover and a face-kon. I’m not sure if he’s just that desperate for companionship (thanks to being abandoned by dear daddy and then losing his aunt who stepped in to care for him as a child) that he’s willing to put up with sunbaetch or if he actually does care for sunbaetch and is holding on to the crumbs of sunbaetch’s affection in the hopes of eventually getting the whole cake. I’m still not completely onboard Team Sunbaetch. The story does show him unintentionally doing a lot of nice things for MC like defending him when his friends were badmouthing MC but like, why do you even have such shitty friends in the first place??? And I super-hate the trope of being super possessive and suddenly wanting to be exclusive when a rival appears. If he wanted to graduate from sunbaetch to bae, he could have done it any time. He didn’t cuz he didn’t want to periodot! [RANT TIME] BL ukes deserve much better partners godnabbit!! Even the simpering, pushover types!!! At least a partner who doesn’t shove it in dry!!!!
