Kind of cute, but Holy Crap he was dumb. How in the world do all these Harlequin MLs with the IQ of a houseplant become multi-billionaires? One of life’s great mysteries. And who in the living HELL decided that not telling everyone your life history is total betrayal? That has to be one of the dumbest tropes I’ve ever come across. The only person who could think that way has to be selfish to the point of total narcissism.

Not a bad story, but the ML was a dope. He let his sicko sister, who never bothered to hide her teeth, bully his timid wife, and believed what she told him. He also let her run his children's lives after the wife was gone. He also didn't realize that, if the wife came back from Geneva alive, the plot would have come to nothing and sis would have been exposed. Therefore, the logical conclusion is that the sister had the car sabotaged. Also, I was really creeped out with his logic of basically telling the FL that she was like his wife, but with more character. That whole scenario was a little unsettling.

The brother is a spineless douchebag who treats his wife with no respect whatsoever. He's also asking his sister to play the slut. He deserves neither kindness nor respect. The ML is a pushy idiot.

Cute story, but my God he was dense! He takes his girlfriend to the Grand Canyon just to break up with her? That's almost like buying her a diamond ring, and then telling her it's a farewell present. I get that he ha a stunted upbringing, but after leaving home at 15 or whatever and going to university and becoming a stud muffin of the corporate workforce you'd think he might have a clue or two about life. He was also as selfish as be damned.

Aaaand… Another Harlequin where people do totally unforgivable things and, of course, are quickly forgiven. Example - Him: My father sold your baby brother and sister to a mafia run brothel in order to break us up, but when he got sick he’s really sorry. Her: I love you.

I liked it, I really did. Still, it only got four stars because I wanted to kick the ML down a long flight of stairs for at least 90% of the story. He busts himself convincing an innocent girl to allow him to have sex with her, and even in the end, it's all about him. "I need you," not "I really love you and want the best for you." There IS a difference. For the whole story, I never saw him as thinking about her, her values, and what would be best for her and make HER happy.

I liked the story, but the king was a total moron and the ML was as dumb as a box of rocks. I think Rufusina had more character than both of them put together.

Ummm… Was he born stupid or did he have to work hard at it? Demand that your wife trust you always when you’re forever hanging around your grabby “childhood friend” who obviously hates your wife with a passion and always makes barbed remarks to her. If I had a friend like that, my wife would have left me so fast that I would have asphyxiated from trying to breathe in the vacuum she left. And how about his so-called apology? He's sorry for not going after her seven years ago because she didn't fit into the family "doormat template" for a wife. Not a word about her pain from his filthy childhood friend, even after said "friend" showed exactly what an underhanded, lying slut she was. Unfortunately, just another HQ story stereotyping Italian men as self-centered, arrogant, testosterone-ridden, misogynistic scumbags. I find this very offensive.

Wow! How much of a double standard hypocrite can one person be? "I spend my life boinking every woman of easy virtue I can find and then dumping them, but I despise you eternally as a filthy whore because there are rumors that you have sex with rich men." It absolutely boggles my little mind that someone could hold, buckle and thong, to these two completely contradictory beliefs, even though I have run into people like the ML for years (the military was full of them). And, while we're on the subject, why in Hades is it always the woman's fault in a case of adultery? Are there women that deliberately target someone else's husband? Yes, but that certainly doesn't exonerate the man in the case, unless you're stupid enough to believe (like some patriarchal morons) that men are biologically incapable of resisting after one whiff of female pheromones, and all women know and use this for their own nefarious purposes. On a side note: the cover for the manga looks like it should be entitled "Captured by the Demonic Vulcan."

Ya know... For a dude who was permanently heartbroken over his "victim" mother, he sure was a misogynist who thought sex was a woman's only function in life. He was one of those people who never question their own actions or even think about them.
