Heat

Ongoing | buronson | 2000 released

This is an exceptionally realistic art where we can clearly distinguish racial diversity. It is my first time seeing in a manga characters who actually look like Asians instead of the typical westerners' looks. Of course westerners' looks, African or Asian or any other looks based on racial differences are all appreciated. Warning though there are nudity, explicit graphic content and violence involved.

Puzzle (morie Satoshi)

Complete | morie satoshi | 2013 released

This one has a "philosophical" sense to it. A deeper and smarter message emerges from within the plotline and the smutty material. The storyline was developed fully, every word and panel filled its role congruously. I enjoyed reading it.

Yellow Heart

Ongoing | Yonekura Kengo | 2001 released

This story has two competing components. On one hand, it depicts the life of gangsters and the yakuza; on the other hand, it focuses widely on the active sexual life of all the protagonists. The latter component has taken over the whole story, which led to the dilution of the drama element in it. This could have become a great story, something similar to "Heat" manga, if the sexual component in it was tamed down. It is more like hentai with a dose of action, drama, madness, sadness and ambiguities. If you enjoy explicit graphic content, you probably are going to like it, that if you don't mind the author's inclination to use some very abusive language towards women and if you don't have any issues with infidelity and gang rape. Of course, the mangaka tried to use both themes in an erotic way but gang rape is still gang rape, and infidelity is still infidelity, though the other guy was part of it (he was turned on by the fact that his girlfriend was cheating on him), go figure! Note: one of the female characters has a masochistic side and two of the main male leads share the same paraphilia, they get aroused at the sight of blood (a tropism depicted also in "Fire Candy", by the same mangaka).
