Someone else's BL Manhwa

Complete | Bobari , 보바리 | 2000 released

I think one of the best decision i've made while reading was actually starting this manhwa and ending by getting so much hooked by it that I ended it in less than a day and I don't regret doing so. It's one of the most beautiful and realistic BL manhwas that portraits how being from the LGBT+ community changes people's opinion and acts towards us. Especially Seunghee's coming out story, it kind of gave me hope since I myself are bisexual but can't come out because i have a strict and conservative family, but that hope got shut off by Suhyeok's parents reaction, but it happens. Loved each character, including the story of Kyubin and Seungtaek ft. Inbeom and also the 2 misters. Each character had its own development and we support that!

Penthouse XXX

Complete | Bacong | 2018 released

Ok but like, this was so amazing that I'm still in awe after finishing it, other than wishing for more like more chapters or even better another season, but it doesn't mean I wasn't satisfied with how it ended! It's more than good. Loved every inch of it, now wishing to have as a partner a contract killer or even the boss of that company-

Tied Up In Twins

Complete | Racking , Red Shoes | 2000 released

I think we can all agree that the pink female friend (Seu-something, not worth her name calling) is a bLtch and was one to the twins and our male lead. Selfish to its top indeed. Sarang's ex too was quite the toxic one. All in all it was a rollercoaster ride of emotions which I enjoyed pretty much all of it! Would do it again for sure~

Wolf In The House

Complete | park ji-yeon | 2000 released

Each character and couple that appeared and stayed [till the end] is lovable, something that you rarely can find in most of the mangas/manhwas. The plot was amazing, the art heavenly. Together a paradise.

Momentum

Complete | PARK Ji-yeon | 2015 released

So after enjoying Wolf in the House, I wanted to check the other related manhwa and i'm happy to say that i'm not disappointed not even a bit on this as well, just crying because of Oscars's death and Lily being a bachelor for life unless our third friend joins the fun. Even the story, who's image is the cover of the manhwa made me tear up- thinking about how Misha and the Doc not being together- but then each story got tangled together and became a one-for all webtoon that satisfied every inch of me...still mourning over Oscar- but yea, a gread read to finish in a day alongside with the other webtoon of the same author!

Ao no Tsubomi

I personally liked how this story was more realistic on the love side and of how Masaki held in even after Rion and Rika's break up because he was scared of the outcome and he thought Rion and Rika's were the perfect couple when all along Rion was in love with him. And the surprise in finding that Masaki was instead the uke and Rion the seme [LMAO] Enjoyed it and hoped to see more of it!

May Belongs to Me

Complete | cereal, Gaesalgu | 2000 released

This was a cool read. The ending felt abrupt to me however because there were so many issues which felt unresolved. The psycho side of the male lead Shin's personality was used to lure readers to be invested in the beginning. The contrast between his pycho, aggressive stalker side & his seemingly kind side was an interesting mix. Would've been cool to see it explored more, because later on, all his danger is forgotten. I'm questioning how he even learned to do violent or all the crazy stalker habits as well considering we saw his upbringing. The mc May had his own emotional issues which were awknowledged in the story. It seems from never being loved as a child, May will love who ever loves him. This feels like a delicate dynamic for a relationship because we already say May reject Shin several times because of this. But nothing was ever done about an issue that big so it feels like he's falling in love with Shin for the wrong reasons making the relationship feel more toxic & more like Stockholm. It's a shame that so much energy was invested in showing the boyfriend's character ( forgot his name), especially since he was obviously the healthier choice. It's a shame the last time we see him is unclimatic. He deserves a good send off. We don't even know what becomes of May's relationship to his helpful friend. Since the story pointed out Shin's sexual immaturity, I was hoping there would be more instances where he awakens to his sexuality. Where he slowly goes from being uninterested in sex, like in the very beginning, to becoming utterly seduced by May. That's what I thought would happen from looking at the photos Would have loved to see more instances of his weird, violent behavior, not with May but in the story in general. Cuz if you're going to introduce such outrageous character behavior, you gotta commit since it's too crazy to just ignore. His psycho behavior could've been the climax, May's friends somehow save him, May is disillusioned , he gets therapy, boyfriend guy is there for it all & puts up with May's problems, May realizes he was "the one" after all, May becomes a healthier person & lives happily ever after with his boyfriend & kind friend after all that crazy ass struggle, the end. I thought there was alot of potential. Still enjoyed it. It was a fun read!

Public Sex

Complete | Rihara | 2018 released

The story went from fluffy/cute to disturbing (with the revelation of Konno´s room being filled with Kanao´s photos) to cute again (when they were confessing their feelings at the hotel) to disturbing again with the revelation of Kanao´s true motives. It twisted and tossed my brain around like play putty and I loved every second of it. I need more of these stories that break tropes. However, I do believe that the revelation of Sei also being yandere was a big stretch. The plot didn´t really set up to much information for us, except for minor acts of possessiveness towards Kanao, people avoiding Sei and the fact that we are following his inner monologue which didn´t reveal anything out the ordinary (hell, he was even wondering if it was okay for him to go in Konno´s apartment because he thought Konno and Kanao were having sex). Like you could notice something was off the moment Kanao begins to "hang out" with Konno and doesn´t want to have public sex anymore all of a sudden, and the yandere plot twist makes sense, but not for Sei. I will gladly recommend this story but say there´s not need to read chapters 9-11.
