I read this story quite a while ago and i thought I'll give it a re-read to see if my thought on it changed, It's quite a cute lil story. I just love Hirata's facial expressions, very pure strong emotions, in general, is the best female main character, she is a very strong, honest and lovable character. She cares about her boyfriend Touma, defends him whenever someone says smth bad about him, tries her best to impress him. She has low self-esteem issues and tbh you can't really blame her. she constantly gets made fun of and called names and shit and nobody in the manga said or done anything to help her with it. Not even Touma, he never stood up for her, didn't clear up a misunderstanding, called her insecure, like BITCH YOU NEVER NEVER REASSURED HER OR MADE MAKE HER FEEL IN CONFIDENT IN THE RELATIONSHIP! NEVER CALLED HER PRETTY OR COOL TO HER FACE! Relationships are to way systems. I'm very disappointed in her boyfriend, even if granted he isn't a bad person, he is a terrible bf; I would suggest going to "How to be a good boyfriend" lessons. In conclusion, the story differs from my memory; MC is a much more likeable character and must be protected at all costs, but her boyfriend is shiter that I remember; he is almost as bad as my ex if he pushes the line a bit more.
