A Cruel God Rules in Heaven - MASTERPIECE, an Award-winning work by Hagio Moto, one of the pioneers of BL. In fact, this deep and mature story is a valuable icon of psychological BL for me. Tragic story of Jeremy, a young boy whose life will be completely destroyed after his mother's remarriage: he'll fall into a downhill spiral, without escape. Content: Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Rape, Drug Abuse / Addiction, Dark Ambience, Mind Break, Sadistic Pedophile, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Murder, Prostitution - Maybe not everyone can take such a heavy story, it could be disturbing for someone, but I think it depicts, in an exemplary way, harsh aspects such as rape, child abuse, sexual abuse, which are serious issues that traumatize the victim and the wounds may never heal... In Jeremy's case, he was stripped of his human dignity, broken into pieces (both physically and mentally), driven to desperation! But I prefer a story like this, which portrays such aspects, cruel as they are, rather than manga where rape is treated lightly, veiled by romance as if nothing happened... Anyways, returning the the plot, Sandra was almost cruel as Greg, because she actually knew everything, but didn't do anything to help her son!! About the step-brother Ian, I actually liked him and I found interesting the development of his relationship with Jeremy. By discovering about the one who killed his father, he also finds out about the abuse Jeremy had to suffer...so he is torn on what to do: wheter to pursue the path of revenge or atone for his father's sins. Soon this dilemma becomes even more complicated when the lust for Jeremy begins to confuse him and the new question is: is this lust or love? Such a tormented story, but at the end of this thorny path, the one who truly helped Jeremy is Ian, so I want to see something good in this relationship between step-brothers!

After their reunion after 15 years due to their divorced parents' reconciliation, they somehow realize they have a very special bond! In fact, Miharu finally understands the reason for an idiosyncrasy he had since young that consisted in having at times unexpected phantom pains: it's because he feels Natsu's pain! On the other hand, it turns out that the sensation Natsu can feel from his big brother is his pleasure!! Hehe I love that when they do it, Natsu feels also Miharu's share of pleasure together with his own, and at the same time Miharu also feels if the uke is in pain! Somehow, it's really...perfect synchronization! xD

Story revolving around the three Yaizu brothers. ◈ Eldest brother Ichirou / Snack-bar owner (30, then 31) [Bisexual Seme] x Youngest brother high-school student Ryuusei (16, then 17) [Virgin Uke] // Not blood-related [Youngest brother x Adopted eldest brother]: Ichirou was the son of the previous owner of the bar, a woman that in the past took care of and was friend of Ryuusei and Gou's mother, who in return promised her to take care of Ichirou after her death. So the two brothers' mother became the next manager of the bar and adopted Ichirou. Then, when she died, Ichirou became the guardian of the two younger brothers. #Guardian Relationship ◈ Second eldest brother Gou (24, then 25) [Bisexual Uke] x Middle-school student Gaku (14, then 15) [Virgin Seme] // Gaku came to meet Ichirou thinking that he was his real father but it turned out that was not the case. Anyway, at first he found himself having a puppy love for Ryuusei, but then he somehow ended up with Gou. #Seme-like Uke, Tough Uke > Note: the oneshot called Gentle Green included in the first volume is not scanlated. I loved their interaction! The setting and the vibe of the story reminded me of Natsukage Ni, Sayonara or other similar ones, which are a type of stories I always love to read! Anyway, I hope to read future works by this mangaka!

Step-brothers // Older Brother, Uni student x Younger Brother, High-school student > Tbh I think this story could have been better! I mean, it wasn't a disappointing reading, but, while I loved at the beginning (like in ch.1-2) the characters' interaction and how things were going, then my excitement kinda abated because the dynamic wasn't great later on. Anyway, I still really liked it, because I'm weak when it comes to step-bros stories!
