They do not manage to stay together in the end :(

Licensed in Italian. Oh, man, this starts off like the fluffiest, purest meetcute when they are 17 and then comes for your fucking heart and hits you with life truths like a bitch. This was beautiful and I cried with life-threatening sobs when Akira died at 69 and I can't believe Yuuta had to hang around until 82 to join him. They are lovely boys who meet on the white line painted on the street and it takes them 2 years to get together and they are so happy for a while, they live together and are so, so in love. It's such a sweet and hopeful outlook when they both become working adults, like they are invincible and have the rest of eternity together. During their late 20s Akira is suddenly hit with societal pressure guilt and breaks up in order to marry and be 'normal', ruining both their lives (Yuuta absolutely broke me here). He gets divorced by 32 and spends the next 4 years in abject misery looking for Yuuta (who never finds love again and becomes a serial one night stander). They meet again on a trip to Alaska (that had been planned while they were together more than 7 years before) and move in again to spend the rest of their loves together in wedded bliss. And then they grow too old ;_;. Loved that Yuuta follows his dream during all this time and becomes involved in writing for the film industry and becoming a known name.

All these stories have a melancholy vibe and are actually the start of relationships (except for one, where it's unrequited). The first one is so good I really wanted to see all the rest <3.

I cannot rate this, those stars are not reflecting my opinion :( This is tragedy mixed with religious fanatism and two beautiful boys kill themselves together at the end and it's so bleak and hopeless. Also, both have the shittiest parents and sick uke is raped by a priest when he is 7. JC everything is terrible, will not probably buy, though the art is gorgeous (also hate that it's set in America, but that is definitely something that happens there quite a lot). I was saddened that even though he is raised in an absurdly religious household (and by that I mean relying entirely on the divine about everything and not actually doing anything in terms of healthy parenting), in the end, after all his rebellious running away, uke-kun turns to what he knows for redemption - religion and stopping in every church on the road to pray for absolution.
