Hatsukoi ni wa kanawanai
Can't wait for the rest, I adore this mangaka.
Bokura ni Namae wo Tsukerunara
Not sure this is a buy, though art is lovely. I was lulled into the idea that they are step-brothers from different marriages, because when their parents split they each take a kid, but, no, they are real, blood-related kyoudai >.> Also Izumi not being able to let himself penetrated by his bf but getting off on his fingers, subconsciously waiting for his true love (aka his baby bro) was something else. French
Tosca no Inu
Licensed in French. This was a little rushed, though I definitely liked the characters, they're both tough and ruthless and the first chapter has a punishment rape attempt that looks like business as usual. Cover is exquisite though and I'm considering the buy simply based on that :).
The Dog Will Not Give Up Unrequited Love
Two stories with two couples, one set in college and the other a few years later (they are friends). I always like the cool beauty type more so Seta was my fave - he's a little jaded and a player and waits for Shougo to come around and admit his feelings.
Mayonaka no high heels
For some reason I thought this would be really dirty, but it's bittersweet and both protagonists are lonely and desperate for connection (even if seme-kun is a little too pushy and stalker-y). Widower dad crossdresses at a bar and his kouhai from highschool finds him and falls for him (he always liked him back in school) and he reluctantly lets himself be loved. Art is very sketch-like and not particularly appealing but it was a nice story - that needs several chapters more, I think, to tie it together (also, we need kindergarten teacher's story as well).
Shouwaru Neko mo Koi o Suru
Man, the protagonist is such a neurotic cutie, I love him. He is brash and not very likable but full of dreams and single dad is smitten. I don't think the relationship is particularly well developed but hey, if that's what it takes for no rape in a KK story, I'll fucking take it.
Sex and Friend
This was so pretty on the faces OMG! A story quite deep and with characters quite mature, though it's at first a revenge scenario. Asahi realises he's gay quite young (a little pissed he comes out as bisexual by the end of the story, seems fake, for the sake of his career) and he falls in love with cute little Misaki, who is also secretly sweet on him, though he is slower on the uptake. Asahi kisses Misaki and fondles him aggressively before parting ways for college and this leaves Misaki broken and confused. There are a lot of flashbacks scenes to paint the bigger picture and it's late in the story that we find out how Misaki became the one-night slut he is now and it wasn't 100% Asahi's fault: his first man, Akira, was the one who completely broke his faith in love, even though he has been in love with Misaki for years now himself. Misaki and Asahi meet years later and Misaki thinks he is being clever and pulling the wool over Asahi's eyes in order to expose him as unfaithful to his assumed girlfriend, but he is of course recognized and Asahi starts dating him openly to his great confusion. I'm making a mess of this summary, but the story is quite good and both Asahi and Misaki are flawed and broken by their choices, though both are actually amazingly kind people.
