This is Gosan no Heart's Udou-niichan's story and it's so good, I love him - he comes across as a shameless bisexual in the other story but he's actually sweet and shy and carries a broken heart that I resonated with so much (the fact that he is insensitive and a player and hates other people's happiness because he was one-sidedly in love once and then becomes soft and wishes for everyone to be happy because being in requited love feels so good and fulfilling to him - oh, my heart). This mangaka never writes a fluffy and clean story, everything is grey-area, bordering on dub con or even plain rape at times, yet she's so good at telling her stories! How can a story where uke sleeps with seme because he resembles his dead father end up but in misery, yet it's somewhat redeemed by a years later re-encounter.

Ooo, this killed me, it's so lovely and bittersweet, I wanted a sequel, I wanted to know they're happy for sure.

Beautiful faces, but don't really like anything else about this.

Oh, what a lovely sweet story this was! It's such a gorgeous take on omegaverse - a place free of prejudice for the genders, equal opportunity for all, and a Alpha/beta couple that go through minimal angst about it. It could have very well not been omegaverse, but what a great thing it was, because you never see this approach. Alpha gets his weird and stressful rut sexual moment and it's so beautifully showcased - it's one of his students' first heat and he's a child so it goes to show how wrong is this whole mindless oversexualized Alpha/omega attraction (which he of course beats easily, because he's not an animal). Very mature relationship and very kind characters, this is an idealized world, full of gentleness. Sex happens in the background and it's very wholesome and sweet. It's a very lovely reuniting story - highschooler fell in love with the school therapist back in the day, but was mature enough to recognize it as an expected bleedthrough because of the mutual trust involved in patient/psychologist relationship and he moved on. They meet again and it's a sweet fall in love story - the other guy has his own history, of course, he is a beta who fell in love with his omega friend quite young and was faced with the reality of Alpha/omega bonds and how much he was outside of such a thing. There's potential for angst and drama here, but the story steers away from it, everyone went through these trials and emerged a better person, everything is mellow and everyone is ready for happiness.

Whoa, there are so many layers to this and I hope everything gets explained or at least not glossed over. There are so many ways this could have been a wholesome coworkers falling in love manga, and there are many scenes picturing just that, but omg, it's so not that type of story. It starts with rape, in retaliation for another past rape that the protagonist has no recollection of, and then you realise there's even more layers unfolding - the guy who rapes him is actually a corporate spy for a merger, the protagonist was the one who is responsible for the department being axed after this merger (they are looking for a traitor who leaked the client list and lo and behold it's Akamine the very protagonist - who does it for his former boss, who he has a sweet and lovely relationship with, except it turns out it wasn't wholesome at all, he always wanted to fuck him and the guy always knew he was in love with him and took advantage of his kindness). I LOVE HOW EVERYONE'S A VILLAIN HERE <333 Edit: Volume 2, need to read it when it's complete. Art is so wow on the dicks. Edit: I'm not sure I buy Utsumi getting over the fact that Akamine raped him 6 years prior and he has zero memories of it - I really wish we were given a reason as to why?!? What got into him to act like that (he was drunk, but was he only drunk?) towards a man he was being kind and helpful to the same night? Utsumi makes it his life's mission to get revenge and is consumed by it and then it's revealed it's all him feeling unnoticed and hurt and jealous over Akamine being devoted to his roommate and secret crush Saeki. I like the drama of this and how everything is intense and tangled and complex, but a clean start cannot exist - and the cruel Akamine we see in the rape flashbacks literally never returns so why?!? Also whatever was going on with the company and the merger and Saeki's involvement? Completely lost me. Utsumi seems to have fingers in many pies except the shady mafia organization all with the sole purpose of fucking Akamine over, which is so extreme and definitely doesn't help with the HEA. I love the art, man, it's so good even if the faces are not exactly pretty (the mangaka has a very personal style that I could recognize anywhere), shading is top-notch and the sex scenes are hot as fire. Both characters are morally grey but ultimately kind and protective of their loved ones. French license, a buy in print for the art.

I like this a lot, there's zero sex depicted, only implied, and it already covers their cohabitation which I always love in a story.

Art is average but the story is quite cute.
