Yen Press. 4 volumes ongoing in Japan. This is cute and definitely worth buying, the relationship is age-conscientious and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. Also, fucking give whatever is going on with Asuka and the hot tutor, it's shrouded in mystery so far but looks absolutely delish.

I like how this turned out, because it starts off simple and uncomplicated but also lacking particular depth and then it questions that lack of depth. The boys break up and meet again after 3 years, at university and are ready to try again with better understanding of who they are.

Where are the promised extras, author-nim?!? I loved this story and sat through 120+ chapters in one day, it was such a refreshing lack of dramatic romance. This is primarily a story focused on family and friendship bonds and the relationship of the FL with her dad is so, so heart-warming. First of all, thank you author for making him an absolute DILF and dressing him scantily - he spends 90% of the story bare-chested, but it's actually a sweet sign of intimacy, as he's always lounging around his private palace and sleeping on the couch or spending quality time with his daughter. But we are definitely given that sweet, sweet ikemen eye candy, he's young and gorgeous and a tsundere. Athanasia is a hoot and she begins in diapers plotting her escape from the palace as soon as she realises she's somehow ended up as the villainess in a book she was reading before dying in the real world (I think her death is not accidental, she takes too many sleeping pills). She is a mature woman in the body of a child and she is wary of her cold father but proceeds to do her best to endear herself to him in order to save her skin. As years pass, they become real family with real love for each other and the sweetest daddy-daughter relationship and it's so lovely that this is the focus of the story. There are two love interests and we don't have a resolution by the end - only Athy's fervent promise that she will never marry and abandon her precious daddy. Ijikiel is the ML in the original novel so he's gentlemanly and courteous and effortless to sweep her off her feet, while Lucas is a centuries old wizard who stays by her side growing up and is a little mean to her but the person she is really comfortable with and trusts a lot. Special shout out for side pairing that never becomes a couple Lilly, the nanny who raises Athanasia and is her de facto replacement mom, and Felix her red-haired bodyguard who ladies fawn over. They are her guardians and carers throughout so many years and there's an actual extra dedicated to them that I need right now! Special mention for the costumes as well, stunning, and also for not killing characters that could have otherwise been killed - like Claude's older brother who is the main antagonist (possessed, but still, he was never a pleasant person overall) and for not making the og FL a snake - Jeanette is a sweet girl who craves a family and I also approve of her adoptive dad actually loving her, not just using her politically (that was a nice surprise). All in all, this manhwa has sugar sprinkled on everything and real kindness in most characters and that is really what makes it outstanding in a world of GoT-type of fantasy stories. So why not 5 stars? Dunno, I just wanted more romance for Claude and for the side characters. Sue me. Edit: Now in print from 7S!

I love this, even if it doesn't take itself super seriously, it's very serious about feelings. Yamato is a bisexual top who goes bottom for Jin, the other super famous top on the block, and they are so earnest and cute about their relationship - even if I kind of prefer the seke to... you know, switch it up with their love interest. I usually despise how stories with tops turned bottoms treat this transition, it's almost always about humiliation which kills the immersion. Jin is not that obnoxious about it and he is charmed and head over heels from the getgo. Loved the jealousy that leads to a misguided foursome and ends up in confession of feelings. Also, Takane-chan, the flashy bottom who sleeps with them both, sometimes tops and he tops to kid who gets deflowered by Jin. I want to hear his story, too :)))). All in all, this hit some right buttons for me .

You know what, I was ready to walk away from this unimpressed, but it's such a cute, light-hearted story about loneliness and finding someone to understand you and accept you. Iha is 10 years younger and perfect at everything he tries his hand at except romance, while Masami is a 40-year old divorcee whose wife has left him 10 years before, so he's been alone for quite a while. They are both clumsy in their own ways and the only solution to their problems is actually communicating with words and then they become the sappiest couple ever. They call each other pet names ('babe' and 'honey') which is not a thing in Japanese culture at all, they are so outlandish and cute. Even though it didn't feel like a strong start, this story leaves you with the strongest wish for their happiness.

This is a very fluffy childhood friends/classmates-to-lovers story, drama-free and super wholesome, even if the characters were not particularly interesting (istg Haru and their classmate Tera looked entirely interchangeably to me). There's a spin-off (Chuuken-kun - Faithful Dog) featuring Tera.

Both stories in this universe end so abruptly, it's like 'suki' then curtain falls @_@

This is being released by Kodansha under the title 'How I Met My Soulmate' with very different covers. Edit: This is updated right up to the drama of Ibuki trying to be a saint and setting his baby bro with his pretend girlfriend, while Iori is ofc completely devoted to Yuuki and has no clue. A lot of winding miscommunication and as of yet no one bothered to ask Airi how she feels about it, seen as she was desperate for Ibuki's return. I'm pretty sure this little soap will get a quick resolution once someone deigns to involve Airi. Now, my rotten fujoshi heart is dreaming of a BL romance for Seno-kun, who is kind and hot and rejected by Yuuki (I think he and Hiro would be neat). I'm pretty neutral to Yuuki, though she does have her insecure moments and she vacillates between jumping Iori's bones and acting super shy. I think this is a buy, I do have two major moments Iori was a star and a scummy man for me: he uttered the hated words 'why aren't you more aware of a man you've entered the home of' to which Yuuki literally apologized for 'not being more aware' wtf wtf wtf, and the amazing bf moment where he absolutely forbids Yuuki to avoid he other love interest (Seno) - which she suggests she can do herself - because he trusts her and she is Seno's friend and Seno's a decent guy anyway (he really is, he only wishes for her happiness, though he is ready to step in at any time).
