Really abrupt ending. Felt like it was going somewhere totally different then author slammed the brakes and ended this one.

Really really interesting. Not a POV I’d expect nor think of, glad it’s here.

Daughter of the Emperor

Ongoing | Yunsul | 2015 released

Had lots of potential, but really repetitive and bland characters. Had to drop it even though I used to be invested, since it just goes around in circles. Characters are weird (in a bad way) and revolve around boring protagonist, who doesn’t seem to have any thoughts of her own aside from obsessing over her dad or the plain white knight stereotype character... Asisi I think? They don’t develop much in any risky, interesting ways either. Even tho protagonist should have a life at some point, like after the time skip when she has more agency to do as she wants.... nope... gotta do the same shit forever. Don’t believe me? Pick a chapter, any chapter, and see if she’s solemnly wondering what’s wrong w either Asisi or Caitel. I dare you. It happens so often it could be a drinking game.

Also really similar to Doctor Eloise but worse, because they romanticize being a war slave. Girl basically exists with all this knowledge already acquired (herbal knowledge somehow applies to a fantasy world) 100% Snow White vibes, and she seduces a sociopath by existing. Art’s ok but inconsistent. Pass
