OMG what a tear jerker story of tragic true love and sacrifice UGHHH!!! I AM BAWLING MY EYES OUT (SEE C04)!! I thought it was just going to be a cute BL story and was not experience this crying fest heart-wrenching self-sacrifice epic love story MANNNN!! PREMISE: Seme works at the convenience store and is a listless kind of guy who has nothing he likes or is interested in except the cute young construction worker uke who comes everyday to buy the same bento. But uke is rude and mean to only seme yet seme can’t stop thinking about him. Despite seme being polite, he’s the kind of guy who finds everything troublesome yet ends up doing good deeds thanks to his sweet grandma’s advice that he remembers every time he’s about to ignore someone in need. Uke stops coming for a year and seme is clearly affected but doesn’t admit it though her thought about uke a lot wondering why her wouldn’t come. Seme encounters a puppy drowning on his way back and almost leaves it but after remembering his grandma’s words saves the puppy but drowns himself and dies and wakes up in another world. Afterlife. C02: Seme is so totally in denial about being in love with uke and tries to find excuses so that makes me low-key tsundere seme. But I love how this listless seme gets so flustered and blushes when uke shows his sweet side. Uke’s unfinished business is that he wants to give his love letter and see or confess to his unrequited crush one more time. Seme’s (even though he doesn’t admit it to himself) is seeing his own unrequited love (uke) which he does. Oddly, uke doesn’t remember seme because his afterlife necklace is cracked which has bad repercussions. C03: I knew it but uke doesn’t remember the face of his oneside crush whom he’s trying desperately to get back to in the living world. He doesn’t remember seme’s face even though he saw him every single day while he was alive (they don’t specify how long). So I’m pretty sure uke’s onesided crush is seme just like seme is mad about uke. Seme’s so funny getting punched by uke’s cuteness and constantly falling for him in every chapter, lol. But now he finally admits it to himself, lol. C03: UGH I almost choked up towards the end, it broke my heart when seme and uke have to part as the boat that will cross into the living world can only fit one so seme hesitates to confess but instead smiles sweetly to uke saying he wishes nothing but the best for uke and to be reunited with the one he likes (even though seme is crazy about uke and doesn’t want uke to go and in doing so breaks his own heart). I could hear the breaking of his heart and it HURT. Seeing seme standing there alone watching uke leave… UGHHH C03: I CRYYYYY!! Still the same chapter and it’s making go through a roller coaster of emotions. When uke’s taking the boat to the living world he’s uneasy after seeing seme’s parting smile and finally remembers that seme is the one he likes and has been wanting to get back to for a year since he died. The way uke’s heart wrenches when he remembers all those times seme smiled at home at the convenience store made me a he so deep and cry!! When he comes back to seme to confess, it’s too late as his afterlife necklace shatters… C04: I teared up again when seme doesn’t even hesitate to want to sacrifice his own necklace to rescue uke from the nether. So because uke’s necklace broke, he’s living a horrible existence in a dark and soundless nether all alone though fully conscious for eternity floating without being able to pass on or reincarnate… And seme wanted to give his own necklace so uke could be saved yet seme would live an eternity like that… C04: YUP I’M CRYING PROPER AGAIN as seme recalls uke and realises how he’s probably been in love with uke for a long time now and how he just misses him so much and even though he may not ever see uke again, he wants uke to smile again so gives up his own life for uke’s… WAHHHHHHHH I’M BAWLING HERE!!! I AM CRYING SO HARD SEME LOVES UKE SO MUCH HE SACRIFICED HIS OWN LIFE (LIVING IN A HELLISH WORLD DARK SOUNDLESS WORLD ALONE FOR ETERNITY) JUST SO UKE CAN HAVE ONE MORE CHANCE AT HAPPINESS WITH HIS LOVED ONE EVEN IF IT’S NOT SEME OMGGGG!!! I just lost it when they’re new afterlife fri bf Noshiki passes on seme’s message to uke saying “this time I hope you can be with the one you like” and uke is wearing seme’s necklace…. WAHHHHH!!
