The author, editor wanted to start from the middle and work back to a flashback but the execution didn’t deliver. Like it really felt like I was started reading from the middle and I didn’t like that because I always felt it was rushed but now knowing how they’re relationship started, how they got to meet for the first time and how such a loner would ever even enter a college beauty pageant makes total sense now. It was all uke’s persistence. Maybe they wanted to start off with snow and snowboarding to stay true to the title but really they honestly should have started with chapter 4 (maybe but of how the college life and onesided rivalry with uke before for context). I mean, we still get to know how seme is a snowboarder and this chapter built the excitement you get from thinking “omg I’m going to love this so much!” which is what we should have felt from the beginning because this story IS GOOD. I’m honestly really annoyed with how poorly they structured it because I feel robbed of getting into a good story. Ugh, whatever it is, this was such a good story and definitely “E++” and maybe in my “F-“ if I feel . Seme is so in love with his uke waiting forever for 3 years, desperate to be near him and taking any chance he can get to be with uke even if uke hated him at the time but then uke also falls deeply in love with him being insecure about him going to Canada and all. Only thing lacking was the way it was presented which would have been so much better had they started NOT from the damn middle.
