A strong but kind soldier becomes a lord and this story shows his progression. I find it interesting at how he interacts with his wife( tbh I'm still uncomfortable with her age but as long as the man respects boundaries then it ain't a problem ) and the variety of people he meets on his journey , as well as the surprising difference in culture established in the story. It looked like the author puts great care in showing how each culture is unique , and how they intertwined with each other. Perhaps there are a bit too much characters in the story , some falling out in later chapters while others took more of the spotlight, but the flow is still okay to read. A slice of life story for people looking for a bit of action and laugh mixed in .
