#Rape #Dubcon #Seme/alpha tries to drug someone #Accidentally gives drug to uke/omega #Have the sex of their lives #Uke doesn't know truth and blames self #Seme ends up falling for Uke and asks to start relationship #Doesn't come clean until Uke finds bottle of drug #They still end up together obvs lol #Possessive seme #Asshole uke #Insecure uke #Uke has high levels of self-hatred #Seme is head over heels for uke Love-hate relationship with this manga, so the love aspect comes from the way Seme's feelings for Uke become complete 180 after getting to know him. Also, I find it ironic that he used the drug to have someone else fall for him, only to fall in love himself. Only one week and he had resolved to make Uke his gahdang lifemate. Still, I would've liked this manga a lot more had Seme suffered more from the consequences of his actions. It would've made the redemption part more...redeeming lol. Theeeen we could've gotten to the uke giving seme a second chance. But I did enjoy the sassier way Uke addressed Seme, as well as how Seme enjoyed it. It was freer and it added something sincere to their relationship.

#Age Difference #Actors #Celebrity Life #Possessive Seme #Asshole Seme #Lovable Uke #Childish Uke #Legal Shota #14 year age gap #Coercion #Manipulation #Bullying #Rape #Sexual Assault #Dubcon #Blackmail #Abusive relationship #Abuse of power #He's called a devil for a reason lol So, I re-read both volumes and...vol 1 has 3 stars--vol2 is why I gave it 4 stars. xD Because Vol 2 has the high-key moments that took the breath from my lungs (JFC THAT PANEL WITH THE BLOOD OVER UKE'S FACE I'M--) and it achieves that level of tempestuous emotion without relying on the rape and sexual assault that defined vol 1. Author-san used their art brilliantly in vol 2, maximizing certain scenes so that the impact would be felt as if you were watching the characters act on a screen. Plus, the peak of the conflict was much more believable this time around. There was mention of how the antagonist's actions were exacerbated by an sexual assault he experienced, but...I mean, it was still better the gimmicky vol 1 peak-conflict. But my main issue with vol 1 was how the rape and sexual assault were handled. Author-san continuously used it as catalysts for the Uke and Seme. I'll give props to author-san for actually using the word "rape" rather than hiding it under softer terms, but still. v1c5 was the worst because the Seme actually did rape Uke, then they made it okay by having the Uke go "welp as long as it's you Seme-san" and I face-palmed lol. It made Uke more of a caricature rather than a character, so. It was just disappointing because this was a good read, but it could've been so much better if author-san used other methods. But either way, again, vol 2 was good.

#Slice of life #Older seme #Younger uke #Uke has scary face that's easy to misunderstand #Actually looks very cute when happy #Seme sees this and falls for uke #Tries to keep making uke happy to see that face #Seme and Uke navigate a relationship that's new and serious to both of them #Uke has always looked up to seme #Seme tries to be the guy that uke says he always has been Uke and Seme's relationship is just really cute and wholesome. Uke's emotions are so unfiltered and honest that I can't help but falling for him, like dang. I also like that Seme falls for w/Uke's openness, rather than being turned off by it. But thing is, even though Uke does see Seme for who he is, he can also idealize him in his head, calling Seme "my God" and makes it difficult for himself when interacting with Seme. The issue comes to head v2c2 and Uke fortunately takes much-needed distance from Seme to put his work first. Seme gets insecure about this and his issue of wanting Uke by his side because he feels lonely w/o him also comes to head. But they work through this, growing as a couple and as individuals, so it was nice to see. Their relationship is overall healthy and everything was consensual, so yesssssss. xD The only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is cuz I easily get bored w/Slice of Life stories. ^^;; It has nothing to do w/the writing itself, which is spectacular.

#Noncon prostitution #Dubcon #Coercion #Manipulation #Unhealthy relationship #Yakuza seme #Tough uke #Possessive seme #Independent uke #Seme somehow ends up being the only one to treat uke like person #Uke's clients pretty much raped him Oooh, chp 5 had my fave scene. Uke protecting Seme made me meeeelt until I was nothing but mush gurgling on the concrete floor. I was also won over the fact that Seme waited for Uke's consent was the best, especially when Seme saw how swollen and painful Uke was since past clients didn't give two craps about him. All in all, love the manga, their relationship does give off the vibe of Stockholm Syndrome (Seme fell for Uke way back, so no Lima) and there's definitely coercion because Uke only does this to pay off debt. But if Seme didn't respect Uke the way he did, Uke wouldn't have wanted to stay with Seme.

Excludes chp 6, but that was a nice secondary one-shot of a cute couple too. #Cliches Galore #All-In-One Cliche Gathering #Playboy seme #Codependent uke #Bachelor-Turned-Devoted seme #Uke easily falls in love #Seme falls hard and fast for uke #Seductive manly seme #Cute slutty uke #Seme sees uke for who he is #That smut man *thumbs up* #CEO seme/Employee uke #Seme steals uke away from old company #Seme seduces uke via sex #Uke captures seme via love Okay but. This hit my kinks man. As embarrassing it is to say, I love certain cliches, like the one in this manga. Seme is a playboy that doesn't sleep with others more than once. Uke ends up breaking Seme's rules and ends even LIVING with Uke after one shared night together. Uke doesn't let this go to his head and only makes negative assumptions about Seme's out-of-character actions, which forces Seme to be honest about his feelings because being vulnerable is better than losing Uke. But not only that, because it's Uke, he can be vulnerable--not only did the Uke make Seme fall in love, the Uke made Seme trust him. Also, Uke's innocence wasn't annoying to me, amazingly enough. He is concerningly dependent on people he falls in love with, but he also doesn't let himself get swept away. He is smart and capable in his career. Since his mild personality means he lacks ambition, he willingly lets others take advantage of his skills or what not. But he does have a sense of self-preservation, so only lets others do so on his terms and can speak up for himself. Alongside that, he has this unabashed slutty side to him that reflects his refusal to choose pride over vulnerability.

Excludes chp 4-5, but the couple is cute there too. #Salarymen #Office romance #Uke uses dating app #Seme is uke's first time #Uke means for this to be a one night stand but falls for seme #Seme fell for uke from the getgo #Smut is nosebleed worthy #Naive uke #Experienced seme #Seme is open to switching #Uke is a natural bottom #Misunderstandings #Seme doesn't use his fkkn words #Sometimes experience hinders growth rather than encourages it #These are one of those times #WHEN THE HECK WERE YOU TWO DATING SEME #WHEN I actually liked this one a lot despite it being a simple...well, I want to say plot, but there wasn't much of one lol. More like tropes and cliches used to make plot devices as a story, but I love that type of thing. XD I really liked the straightforward way Uke approached things. Wants to lose virginity? Then hook up via a dating app!! And somehow he gets freaking lucky enough to get a respectful, beautiful guy like Seme lol. I laughed so hard at the part where Uke asks Seme what his ideal guy is, so Seme gives a description of how he sees Uke, and Uke is like...oh, so nothing like me. Okay. *sad face* And I was just...Seme, this is your fault. XD But yeah, this was fun to read.
