In other words, he has learned to put himself first without losing his courageous desire to show others his heart. But this time, he now knows the importance of selecting the right person to /give/ his heart to.

It started off with me having second-hand embarrassment but Uke points out the idealistic fantasies Seme held onto. Uke then gets his act together and reconciles fiction with reality, then their relationship develops from there. What I really liked was how Seme changed his desire for shoujo-esque romances to wanting to build a romance with the one he loved--one that catered to both of their needs because /that/ kind of relationship would burgeon shojo-esque feels from him.

Chp 1-3, 6: Ooooh, the smut between a top porn star and an ex-super top porn star lol. Uke discovers the pleasure of having Seme in his ass and can no longer have sex with anyone else. I also like that there were more issues for this couple to work through, like mismatched communication styles and Uke's weaker body. And in this one, Seme is the one to be open about his feelings--though he can be unintentionally mean about it--in a way that inspires change. Because of that, Uke ends up meeting Seme's love full-throttle lol. We also get bonus chapters of Ritsu and Kana's romance once they grow up (they're the children of the story)!

Even in our world, lions are the apex of the apex predators and Riko reflects that in Seme's mentality. He is more prone to dominating other species and that makes it difficult for him to lay down his pride, even for Uke's sake. He can't even see his special attitude towards Uke was due to falling in love, as that would require for him to be vulnerable, which goes against all his instincts. So, just like with wolfie and rabbie in last manga, it's fitting that the herbivorous partner for lion seme is a horse. Cuz where lions have dominating pride, horses have regal pride, and that's more than enough for Uke to stand toe-to-toe w/Seme. So even though Seme is an asshole, Uke is secure enough to stand his ground w/o being an asshole back at Seme. And that's why Seme was finally able to admit his undying love to Uke. xD

What's interesting here to me is the way Seme's interest for Uke was portrayed. It is love, but it's a different way of loving compared to how 'normal' people love. For Seme, it is closer to seeing Uke as part of his 'world', a possession of his that belongs amongst the other tools he requires for survival. Which is why seeing other people around Uke makes him as restless and frustrated as he is. Luckily, with a partner like Uke--who knows how to be own person while enjoying being submissive to partner--that type of love is perhaps ideal to Uke's tastes. NOT SAYING THAT PPL SHOULD SEEK THIS RELATIONSHIP OK. DON'T DO THAT. I'M JUST APPLYING THIS TO THE CONTEXT OF THE MANGA. Uke is more of a caricature than a real person, which is why these types of relationships don't work in real life. Either way, this was a fun manga to read.

Seeing the alpha go from "I hate you, you no good omega" to "fuck, let me be your alpha, I beg you" was also, admittedly, satisfying. I do get why he's an asshole, because the family he comes from actually makes him look like the kindest alpha in the world by comparison (he's most likely the kindest one in that household, at least). But what's also satisfying is the way he puts Uke first by chp 5 and then is pretty muched whipped for Uke by chapter 7. So, over all, I enjoyed reading it. ^^

Altogether, Uke and Seme were very cute.
