But at the same time, Tomochi also portrayed just how destructive it was for the Uke and how much it also tore the Seme apart that he couldn't stop that from happening to Uke. What I really loved is how Seme's love and respect for Uke really shone through...save for that noncon BJ *glares at Seme*. BUT Seme could've...you know...COMMUNICATED w/Uke as to why he wanted to wait. But communication makes things all too easy. xD

Uke tried to lie about the type of person he is by appearing as something he wasn't. Seme did as well, but unlike Uke, he's able to read ppl, so he can also manipulate the situation to his advantage. Uke just manipulates his self-image. Because of that, they're unable to honest with each other and lie to high hell so that the other will stay with them. So, when they finally overcome that boundary together, it's a sweet satisfaction that brings them closer even after threatening to tear them apart. I would've given this manga a perfect 5-star if it wasn't for chp 5 OTL

They were so familiar with the way they loved each other that it didn't feel like a crush or infatuation--it felt like home. Others saw it as obvious cuz they were outside looking in. But for the insiders, it was just the same oxygen they've been breathing in on daily basis. The only reason why they had such trouble was cuz the extent of the familiarity spanned years, so ofc they'd have trouble navigating and bridging this new territory between them.

Seme has family issues that cause him to bottle things up until everything flows out of him like a teacup that was filled with too much liquid. So the way Seme gives Uke strength and the way Uke helps Seme to put self first is very heartwarming. ^^

And how he later built up the courage to express his thoughts and desires made me fkkn applaud because it showed character growth. The Seme, however...yes, he stood up for Uke in the end and that is character development, but not character growth. There's a difference, but I need another paragraph to explain it lol. Either way, there were a lot of sweet and heart-jerking moments, so I enjoyed this story overall. ^^

I was irritated that Uke!B only stepped in to open up about his feelings when Seme!B had a hickey, but I was wheezing at pg 25-28. BUT I WAS REALLY IRRITATED BY MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN UKE!A AND SEME!A. IT'S UNRESOLVED. SON OF A BITCH. I also would've really liked it if we could get a smut scene w/Uke!B and Seme!B, cuz we got one between Uke!A+Seme!B and Uke!A+Seme!A, but not the other two.

They have a lot of super cute moments that made me helpless to their whim. Not a good representation of a real-life couple, but in a fictional world, it's nice to sit back with some milk tea, mille-crepe vanilla, and smile over their antics. Probably one of the best way to encapsulate their relationship is to share an excerpt from the manga. Seme, uncharacteristically, thinks to himself how he could turn into a frog and he fully believes that Uke would love him all the same--which makes him love Uke even more out of gratitude. Then Uke responds by asking, "Why can't we both be frogs and live out our lives together as frogs?" And, somehow, Seme falls even harder in love with Uke because gahdang, that adorable response.

Because the pain they went through didn't quite equal the resolution of that pain, so them getting together wasn't very satisfying. Either way, this damn manga was a ride, beginning to end. Two moments that made me EMOTIONAL: (1) Seme promising he would live longer so Uke would never feel the pain of losing him (2) The dream moment with the father, made doubly touching when you realize that Uke was finally able to let in the warmth because Seme was by his side.
