Though, had this been able to be longer, I would've liked for Bard to stay king, made sure Uke escaped, and make it so Uke can be his queen or something lol. It's too bad it had to be kept short.

Uke fits the bill because the thought of him dying was scarier than whatever consequence would come along for falling in love. But do not forget that Uke is immortal and that he will live long after Seme dies--I can imagine that, after his death, Uke will allow himself to go back to being a jellyfish and never contact another human because Seme is no longer there. Or he'll search the Earth to find a way for him to no longer be immortal. Either way, it's heartbreaking. xD

I am wondering how their relationship would go once the Seme ages. I mean, Uke is immortal right?? There's a lot of heavy things in this manga, but I get that that isn't the point of the manga. I still like certain aspects of it, in spite of the rest.

But I also really like the characterization of, both, uke and seme here. It's not really that uke doesn't stand up for himself, it's that he is able to vulnerable enough to put away his pride enough to give someone a chance where others would not. It's not really a good a trait because it opens him up to be used, but it's still admirable with the way he opens up enough to make his intentions clear and feelings known. Then at the end, it goes like this: Seme sees humans as food, but Uke is special, so he loves Uke in spite of that. Uke knows Seme is a monster, but Seme is special, so he loves Seme in spite of that. They try their best to meet each other where they are, even with how unavoidably hypocritical each other's stances will be due to the nature of their respective beasts (Human beast v Vampire beast). It's an interesting journey between these two.

BUT. BUT THAT TWIST. OH MY GOD. I FKKN DIED WHEN I GOT TO THE PART WHERE WE FIND OUT WHO UKE WAS IN A PAST LIFE. I LOST IT. I LAUGHED SO HARD FOR LIKE. A GOOD 5 MINUTES. I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE IT AWAY, MAN, YOU HAVE TO READ THIS JUST FOR THAT MOMENT WHERE YOU'RE LIKE "Ohhh. OhhhhHHHH. OHHHHHHHH." BECAUSE. REALLY. *WHEEZE*

I enjoyed it more than the main storyline actually lol, which is typical of me when it comes to long manhwas such as these. I dunno, sometimes the stories can be too drawn out, so the side stories just gets down to the couples and characters in their new life since we surpassed all the story-building, dramatic moments, and conflict.

Couple A has Uke who is scared to be immortal but doesn't want to leave Seme alone and eventually overcomes his fears to become a vampire with Seme. Couple B...I'm pretty sure doesn't feel the need for immortality? They're my fave couple in this story and yet I don't remember some details lol. Couple C, on the other hand, has a vampire who is more or less stable with the werewolf Uke saying he will never be immortal, and the vampire Seme still promises to live the rest of Uke's life with him. Either way, the portrayal of what it's like to be immortal is realistic and impactful, making me have a lot of feels for each of the couples who have to deal with it. I fucking died though, whenever the Semes told their Ukes "I want to live the rest of your life with you and then spend the rest of mine guarding your grave". I was just. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me and take my feels away because it would hurt less. jeezus fkkn christ.

Chp 5: #Incest between cousins #Smart salaryman seme #Kinda dumb but sweet cute uke Sweet one-shot chapter between two cousins (one hot and one cute) who try to hide their feelings for each other, but it inevitably fails cuz they want to be with each other too much.
