#Slice of life #What it's like to have a stutter #Ableism #Ignorance #Learning about disability #Accepting disability #Self-acceptance #Cool seme #Cute uke #Stoic seme not-so-stoic with uke #Businessman/Janitor #Popular seme/Unpopular uke Yo. YOOOO. Character with a speech disability!! Characterization is fantastic for both Seme and Uke. I love that the Seme was put in his place about what it means to have a disability. It's very easy to misunderstand the more 'invisible' disabilities like speech impediments, so manga takes the time to educate people by showing what stutterers face on a daily basis. In this case, Uke has a stutter and he is a sensitive person. Thus, he was never treated in a way that maximized his potential, leading him to also develop social anxiety. To be clear, Uke does not have a stutter as a result of social anxiety, but has social anxiety from being mistreated for having a stutter.

#Slice of life #Low-key possessive seme #Low-key manipulative seme #Wholesome uke #Loving uke #Seme with kid #Child abuse #Seme saves kid from abuse #Adopted child #Coworkers #Office romance Love that Seme was a lot more sly than you'd first think he was. xD Also low-key possessive of Uke. And the fact that the Uke almost instantly fell in love with Seme's kid?? That was so sweet. Uke, even though he comes off aloof, was actually the wholesome one, not the smiley & charming Seme lol. I love children. Not necessarily because I want to have kids myself, but because every child deserves to be raised by at least one adult that loves them. This manga beautifully showcases that.

#Dubcon #Sassy seme #Pushy seme #Rich seme #Spoiled seme #Runaway Seme #Hedonistic Seme #Doormat uke #Kind uke #Poor uke #Seme continuously hides secrets #Uses sex to keep uke from questioning him #Uke teaches seme a lot of things about the world #Uke accepts seme unconditionally even when he should make conditions #A lot of funny moments otherwise #Some even meaningful There are a lot of parts of this story I don't like because it was taken too lightly, but the parts I did like...I laughed so hard at them xD Despite himself, Seme can liven up the entire manga. And if a story can make me laugh as much as this one had, it becomes a treasured one I'll consistently look back on from time to time, especially if I need a pick-me-up. It also has these moments that really made me pause and re-read it again because "oh, that's nice".

#Underage sex #Minor/Minor #High school #Nosebleed worthy smut #Respectful seme #Gentle seme #Protective seme #Loving seme #Wolf seme #Wary uke #Stoic uke #Cute uke #Bunny uke #Predator/Prey #And the wolf fell in love with the bunny Okay but I love the concept of this Beastmen AU. Riko is not just in it for the smut, they always focus on the social hierarchy between Level 2-4 consumers with apex predatory on top, marginalization of 'herbivores' by 'carnivores', and how the beastial instincts affect a person's personality and subsequent outlook on life. As for the Seme and Uke here, it's very fitting that it's a wolfie seme and rabbie uke. Seme is low enough on beastial caste system that he's able to reign in instincts and make a wholesome relationship with Uke. And the way Seme gradually builds up Uke's trust in him made my heart melt for them as a couple.

#Underage sex #Minor/Minor #High school #Nosebleed worthy smut #Prideful seme #Asshole seme #Possessive seme #Passive uke #Regal uke #Uke learns from seme to assert needs #Seme and uke cross carnivore/herbivore divide to be together #Uke and seme fight for their right to love #We get to see both of the couples get kiddos Seme is much more cognizant of Uke's needs--and possible needs--and tries to react accordingly to show he cherishes Uke. His pride still gets in the way of it, but Uke holds enough self-esteem to not take it personally. Despite having much better options by way of being respected, Uke chooses Seme and all his helpless assholery because Seme never stops trying to treat Uke better. He knows that it's much harder for Seme to bend his knee compared to other species, so Seme practicing such submissiveness is more meaningful to Uke than a nice guy treating him nicely. It's less obligatory and more /real/. In other words, it takes a lot more effort for Seme compared to Uke to work on building a relationship, so the fact that Seme is working so hard shows the extent of Seme's love and desire for Uke. Plus, their children (theirs and other Seme/Uke's) are FKKN ADORABLE.

If there was going to be any omegaverse that anyone could love and everyone should read, this is it. There is rape in this manga, but it was years before Uke met Seme and the way rape was handled was realistic and tragic, with the way rapists were handled later being satisfying. One of the probably five (out of the 50 or so I've read) w/no rape between Seme and Uke whatsoever. Other things I love: (1) the no-nonsense portrayal of just how oppressed omegas were and how society needs to make SIGNIFICANT strides to make a just system for omegas, betas, and alphas. (2) The way Seme and Uke love each other so fkkn much. Seme gives Uke respect he deserves and Uke gives Seme a happiness no one else can. (3) The psychological aspect of alphas standing above others. Seme was affected by becoming scared and rejecting his privilege until he realized he could use it to protect Uke. Rapist was affected by letting go of morals and digging himself deeper into cruelty. And more lol. Last aside: The rapist here has dark marks under his eyes, which reminds me of how Sangwoo and Bum have dark circles under theirs to represent how unhealthy they were. So that is a nice foreboding touch there, Hijiki-san.

#Uke is beta #Seme is alpha #Seme is scared of falling prey to heat-induced rape/sex #Chooses beta #Incestuous themes #Uke and seme are adopted brothers #No clue if they met as infants, kids, or teens #Sexual assault #Beta tries to do what he thinks is best for alpha #Omega tries to coerce alpha out of desperation #Alpha convinces them there's a better way #A beta an alpha and an omega light the way to a revolution *impressed whistle* Okay. This is arguably my fave ABO story. Wish this was made into a full-length story cuz DANG this was a great read and delivered its message in a believable way without being preachy. I love this manga and, as such, would like to share two thoughts lol: 1) If 20% are alphas and 10% are omegas, that leaves 10% of alphas w/o a fated pair.  So, I mean.  Assuming fated pairs exist and all 10% of omegas have one, that gives 10% of alphas the opportunity to CHOOSE THEIR OWN mate from 70% of the world's betas.  Beta!Seme and alpha!Uke prove that chosen pairs are JUST AS beautiful as fated pairs (note: 'pairs' needn't be taken literally as love comes in more than 1 or 2 forms lol). 2) God lights the way through reason. Excluding any argument of theism vs atheism & gnosticism vs agnosticism, I'd like to ammend that by adding "reason and values". Cuz w/o reason, values lack application and purpose. But w/o values, reason can be used to excuse anything.

Then to fall in love with the one mortal that makes you feel human? You fucking entrap, coerce, isolate, and rape them because that's the only way you've learned to love. But what if that mortal starts wasting away the longer you keep them? What if they start hurting themselves if it means they get to escape you? You change. You try to. And even if you can't, you follow your mortal's whim because it's no longer about keeping them against their wishes, but making them want to stay with you.

#Vampire seme #Human uke #Got The Promised Neverland vibes from this lol #Uke can't help but go along with seme #Uke is kind w/o being self-righteous #Seme was raised under toxic mottos #Also treated as monster #So decided to live with monster ideals #Then uke comes along with blood that gives seme warmth cuz of his kindness #And shows Seme that it's possible to be loved as a monster #So long as you keep trying to change your ways #And you see Seme continuously trying to that #I love the sister #Anna stan Yes, this relationship is toxic and no, no, no, we don't want this for ourselves. But I also really like the characterization of, both, uke and seme here. It's not really that uke doesn't stand up for himself, it's that he is able to vulnerable enough to put away his pride enough to give someone a chance where others would not. It's not really a good a trait because it opens him up to be used, but it's still admirable with the way he opens up enough to make his intentions clear and feelings known. Then at the end, it goes like this: Seme sees humans as food, but Uke is special, so he loves Uke in spite of that. Uke knows Seme is a monster, but Seme is special, so he loves Seme in spite of that. They try their best to meet each other where they are, even with how unavoidably hypocritical each other's stances will be due to the nature of their respective beasts (Human beast v Vampire beast). It's an interesting journey between these two.

#Underage sex #Minor/Minor #Highschool romance #Uke tutors Seme #Life is full of bullshit #Seme comes off as bi #Uke comes off as gay #Put them together and you get young looove #Uke's guardian does have some inappropriate feelings for Uke #But that's put to rest #Seme and Uke have misunderstandings but they're understandable #They work through it eventually This story beautifully portrays the truth that "Everyone has their own story". Uke's mother abandoned him, his father died, and the father's lover who is raising him is also dealing w/the loss. Seme's family had to run away from loan sharks after loaning money to Seme's ex-girlfriend, which makes it incredibly difficult for Seme to stay in school. Even the girlfriend here, who is so easy to vilify and definitely did something terrible, had her reason for doing things that made me genuinely wish the best for her character. The way the characters work through each problem, one after the other, together and apart, was just...yes, lol. Seme was just kind of drifting through life, but when Uke's safety was threatened by loan sharks, that was when he decided to take action about his family's debt--and that kills me. Uke had an unhealthy reaction to Seme needing to leave and put the debt to rest, but after all the losses he suffered as a child, it's not surprising. And their REUNION. OH GOD THEIR REUNION. YESSSSSS.
