Seriously, there are several things that hit me in the kokoro but 1) the hiring sign Seme put on the window to encourage Uke to return 2) the way Seme cried in Uke's arm after admitting to the loss of his dream, and 3) The way Seme asked Uke to keep his eyes open during sex so that they can stay together for a little longer. I. Whew, I made unattractive noises at that line. And I love that we got a look into their relationship three years later. They're, of course, as in love with each other as ever. I love that we went from Uke accidentally breaking Seme's glasses and having to lead probably-legally-blind Seme by the hand --> to --> Uke telling others his heart only belongs to Seme and Seme telling others he's engaged to an angel. xD I'm a simple bitch and simp other content like this.

Despite being intelligent himself, Seme is really understanding with Uke and doesn't judge Uke for his slower intellect. He instead has fun with Uke doing various things, praises Uke for his personality, and celebrates his achievements in regards to Uke's own achievements--not by the achievements made by Seme or Uke's brothers. Even things that people would mock the Uke for--like keeping the river shrimp he captured as pets--the Seme falls for the Uke moreso because of that. The thing with this manga is that it seems to pack too many ideas all at once without bringing it to full potential. We get that the Seme was a delinquent + that Seme's friends "hates" him to a point of wanting to get Uke away from Seme, but all of that just fades in obscurity. It made the details feel unnecessary even though they obviously impacted the story by driving the characters' motives. So I feel a little cheated, even though I love the story overall.

Couple A has Uke who is scared to be immortal but doesn't want to leave Seme alone and eventually overcomes his fears to become a vampire with Seme. Couple B...I'm pretty sure doesn't feel the need for immortality? They're my fave couple in this story and yet I don't remember some details lol. Couple C, on the other hand, has a vampire who is more or less stable with the werewolf Uke saying he will never be immortal, and the vampire Seme still promises to live the rest of Uke's life with him. Either way, the portrayal of what it's like to be immortal is realistic and impactful, making me have a lot of feels for each of the couples who have to deal with it. I fucking died though, whenever the Semes told their Ukes "I want to live the rest of your life with you and then spend the rest of mine guarding your grave". I was just. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me and take my feels away because it would hurt less. jeezus fkkn christ.

So, the content here is not really my cup of tea, but the art and subversion of typical uke and seme trope makes this story have a spot on my list. :D

Their excuses were so flimsy and eye-roll worthy and I SEETHED at how they said Uke was also to blame for THEIR behavior. It made things even more satisfying when Seme came along to not only ELOQUENTLY PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE, but to show just how much more he meant to Uke compared to a brother and father that couldn't be bothered to treat Uke with respect. And I loooved the background of chapter 3. It gave more meaning to why Seme chased after Uke and how much Uke's love impacted Seme's view on the world. Plus...we got to see Uke meeting Seme at his possessiveness, which showed Seme that, yes, his feelings for Uke are genuine. He couldn't believe in himself, but he could believe in Uke. I seriously wish the story between them were longer, like...Katekyo-length. Because I would've devoured the shit out of a plotline like this one. Chp 5.5, pg 6 made me fkkn wheeze also. xD No incest between the actual bros, but Seme still got pissed anyway and Uke was a little disturbed.
