I was so excited after reading the prequel and I thought it was going to be the Yakuza guy getting with Yoru, but NO: first of all it follows a main character who is the absolute WORST. He’s abusive, arrogant, and treats people like dirt. And yet the Uke is head over heels for him when he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Instead the author also bastardized the Yakuza guy after she introduced him and made him likable in the prequel so the whole thing just feels like a hate sink. I’d love to read a alternate universe where the MC just fucks off.
