Andy is at a new school, who is constantly bullied. One day he overhears the math teacher dumping Jesse, a student. Jesse sees Andy and confront him. Afraid that Jesse will beat him up, Andy lies and tells Jesse he has a crush on him. Jesse is hurt by getting dumped by his teacher, and thinks that falling for someone new will help him get over it. He agrees to date Andy. Even though Andy lied to Jesse about liking him, he stay with Jesse because he was scared that Jesse would beat him up if he found out the truth. Eventually, Andy grew to really like Jesse, after he saw that under the scary facade Jesse was sweet and thoughtful (he also had an incredibly hot bod). The story starts out funny and light, but there are serious/emotional moments too. The side couple is a student name Chase and Joel, Jesse’s dad. Chase is blatantly trying to seduce Joel, while Joel thinks of Chase as a kid that he wants to take care of. They end up getting together at the end, after Chase graduates from high school. Although Jesse tolerates the relationship, I personally think it’s not ok!! A guy in his late 30s, dating his son’s classmate?! Not ok.
