I’m SCWEEEEEEEEEEMING... why I’m the hell did Polo have to rape Jooseong? I’m SORRY? Ago author what the fuck did ya boi do to deserve this kind of ending??. A, I missing something here?.? This is one of the most wild things I have laid eyes on on this site bro. The main story was wild all on its own, but the side story at the end? Completely out of pocket. Anyway, a whole lot of thoughts on this tbh, so much so, I’m going to have to come back for a more detailed review later. Let me just try to get out as much as I can of my immediate reactions now... I do not regret reading this. Unlike My Purrfect Boss, this did not make me so disappointed that I felt like it was a waste of my time. This soulless here is EXTREMLY high on my list of most toxic and unhealthy BL relationships, and not because I want it to be or because they don’t get along lol. At its fundamental core this couple cannot fly bro. This is even worse (waaaaaaaaaay worse) than the idea of Seshoumarou-sama being shipped with an adult Rin- and you already know how much I hate that one. This couple can literally never fly. Also, the dog god was weirdly kink shame-y??? Jungo was sups adorbs bruh, as both dog and human. That sadistic side of him was more or less in line wi5h my tastes mhmmm v smexy. His childishness was not a complete turn off either. Honestly, attractively wise as a whole he’s a solid 8/10 for me. POLO THO?? Lmfao, Polo isn’t like, necessarily more attractive than him but he just.... got a more wild introduction that really let him showcase himself in a different light? Anyway, they’re both very attractive and both seem to be natural-born sadists which I’m fucking with. We love that. I didn’t really like Jooseong at first tbh. I didn’t hate him, but he just gave off the vibe of a character I thought I wasn’t going to like ya know? But eventually I realized he’s actually a pwetty decent who did nothing wrong and I felt pretty damn sorry for him. The MC tho??? Ludicrous piece of shit lol. It’s wild how much if a piece of shit he is. I don’t even feel too much hatred towards him but objectively speaking he’s just as bad as scum-bag low-life’s come man, it’s sick. I cannot begin to emphasize how much better Jungo deserves over his trifle hoe of a master. lol, anyway I’m getting tired so maybe this is all I’ll comment on for tonight... still lots more thoughts tho, this was quite an interesting and controversial piece in ways that the author did not in any way intend for it the lol. Man was this an out of pocket read ugh, wild. I really wish I had someone to talk to about this. Rating is subject to change, but for now I’ll say.... 9.0 it’s very problematic yes and I do not endorse the ending or the views expressed. Y the author that made her think this ending was okay, but 1) art on point, 2) storytelling on point, 3) very real feeling characters (characters and their backstories had so much potential that they were low/high key wasted on this storyline tbh tho),..... you get what I’m saying- overall this author just really fucking knew how to create a quality webtoon bro, and content aside, you can’t take that away from them on this. Not only is this a quality webtoon when you set aside the content on the middle part when it comes to topics of consent looking murky in a caretaker-dependent relationshp and power play (in and outside of the bedroom), people using other in relationship to fill different needs in a healthy vs unhealthy way (we usually only explore the unhethyly and imply is always unheLalth) etc...... anyway lots of topic were brought up even though they are not explored throughly and the ones that are explored.... the concluding points made about were wrong dare I say immoral lollll. Weirdly enough not lacking in nuisance, but bringing up nuance and think8g about it just to give up at the end before you think of it all the way through and thus coming out with the wrong conclusion. Anyway yeah, well give it a 9.0.

Okay but wait..... that was actually really nice. This BL is written by the same author who wrote the one about the sunken nipples with the seme that had a tongue piercing or what not. I did not like that BL. I didn’t hate it; I just really wasn’t a fan. I barely managed to finish it because I thought it was so boring. Because of how I need felt about that BL, I had my reservations about this one here. I didn’t think I would like it. However, i tho that it was pretty great! Now that I’ve read two of this author’s works, I’m starting to see some trends. The reads are fast reads. I got through these 20 chapters in the same span of time I usually allot for literally 6 chapters of a regular BL. This isn’t necessarily because of the number of pages or anything, but more interestingly, it is because of how easy this one is to read. This is def webtoon format bare bones- not manga who tends to be way more detailed. There’s no stunning or complicated masterpieces of artwork. However the art is really good (it’s actually my preferred style). There isn’t a lot of background clutter on each page, and this mixed with the fact that her stories don’t tend to be all that complicated plot-wise makes the read fast. However, that second point is also one of these BL’s greatest pitfalls. The stores are so uncomplicated that while she does manage to tell the story, she doesn’t manage to make you feel like you know her characters at all. This story isn’t really something my you feel like you read so much as it is a story that someone told you about. It’s more of a movie trailer than the actual movie. It’s the slim and skinny of it all, the spark notes. So yeah, both of these BL’s had lovely art styles that match my personal tastes (hence me being drawn to them). Both BL’s lacked a whole lot of substance. Difference between the two BL’s is that this one knew it lacked substance so it did is the courtesy of not dragging itself out too much. The lack of substance in these BL’s read in a way that makes the read like they are made my an inexperienced author who is just learning the ropes of webtoon-writing. I’m not mad at it, not at all really, I hope she continues to write more things that I’m sure will continue to be better and better! Anyway yeah, this was pretty cute but not all that cute. It’s was pretty nice yet pretty lackluster as well. Contained aspects mainly BL’s could only wish they could, but missed the mark with many of the staples of story telling. (This BL is suffering from Disney’s Mauna Syndrome) Those such rare highlights include: 1) consent that proves the motto “consent is sexy” ️. 2) Gentle and tender love between seme and uke that does not seem overly soft or sweet of fluffy to the point of unrealistic-ness. 3) No stupid misunderstandings for the sake of moving the plot, but instead genuine misunderstandings that make a lot of sense and get resolved fairly quickly in a realistic manner. 4) A tsundere character that for once I don’t hate lol/a tiny bottom that proves tsundere doesn’t necessitate constantly resorting to violence (because that’s cute right ). 5) A webtoon where the confession comes quick(!!!) leaving time and space to actually explore the relationship afterwards. 6) my MC is the seme??? :o. 7) An unusually sincere, honest, ufront seme who’s just an all around stand-up guy and not sleezy, rapey, (borderline-)abusive, manipulative, etc.... like so many other ones this genre has normalized. You know, maybe I’m reading too much it or the author’s intentions and she didn’t really care to make this a great story. Maybe she just wanted to write some gentle and abundant smut. (If so, great job!!!) Haha, overall this strikes me as a super solid 9.2 :)

9.5....Too is so fuckn g hot. Take oh teasing dude that I like so much and launch him down a couple of pegs, that’s baby high shit compared to this. Fuck “teasin” we were legitimately undersides to have the to identify as a sadist and the bottom identify as a masochist. Refreshingly upfront about sexual desires especially when it comes to power play. Loved to see it. Top is a near perfect balance between not enough and too much when it comes to BL. He’s not the “I’m so dominant I will rape you” top, but he is quick to use dirty talk to stir up his bottom and tell you candidly how badly he wants to make you cry and also exactly what he wants to do to achieve that goal. Lmfoa, then he’ll tell you on top of that exactly how he plans to shave you help him achieve that goal. “I won’t do anything unless you beg for it, but if you beg for it there isn’t anything wouldn’t do. So just ask.”

This was not a very enjoyable experience :/ The good: -The art style is fantastic, obvi -Luca was fine as shit, obvi -The dialogue and character interactions felt very realistic for teenage boys in a way that only a very select few of BL authors can portray so cudos to the author for joining that elite club (it’s truly a feat!!) -the author brought a waaaaay more free and liberal mindset to this BL than BL ever tend to go. Yes I’m talking about the exploration of polygamy sure, as well as the black lesbians in that movie, but more so than anything...... that dick piercing....... um wow I’ve never seeen that before and I beyond intrigued. Very wild af The Bad: -Luca’s hair.......... yo what? Ngl, I don’t appreciate the lack of commitment to one depiction. I actually don’t care how his hair looked as long as it was kept consistent. At first I thought he had a loose non-kinky hair texture and locks with stray baby hair here and there and yet somehow the locs bonded perfectly without looking as rough as loose textures with locs are supposed to look. Creative yet unrealistic, I was down. And then yet somehow over the course of the manga...... he no longer had locs? How did his locs disappear, but then oh wait next chapter they reappear! As someone who has locs I think it’s be pretty cool and fun irl if I could have them sometimes and then not others times, but locs are a pretty big commitment and take so much freaking care to grow no matter what your race or hair texture may be. Ugh I know this is insignificant to the plot, but I needed to rant lol. -ugh also there are a bunch of other s that rubbed me the wrong way but that I don’t really care to get into. They mainly have to do with the pacing of their relationship and how ridiculously serious they felt about each other after what seems to have not been that long of a time?? Skeptical about the uke’s motivations behind moving to Kenya... anyway the hair thing was my biggest hint among the minor things so I’ll leave it at this. The problem with these minor things isn’t the things theme of, it how many of them there were and how often they were cropping up and distracting me from the story The ugly: -man, this was not handled with nearly enough care as it should have been handled with. Tbh if I was the author I would have gone with making up a fictional country to exist in Africa for the purposes of the story and basing everything about this country on Kenya if she wanted. Like yeah you can tell a lot of care went into this, but I personal feel like it still wasn’t enough. Anyway, this BL tires me so much. I feel a bit drained, by the story but also the ridiculous comment section that it spawned- goodness me y’all need help ugh *rme*.i came here for entertainment and left instead with a very very very mild headache and a sense of neutral disappointment. 9.5 my ass, for me this gets a 9.3 after you subtract .2 for the inflation from it being ~different~ but then knocking off another .2 for the surplus of problems and then adding one more .1 back for the stunning art. So a 9.3 it is.

Literal perfection of the “short story” art form if I’ve ever scene it. An unparalleled draft of a masterpiece. 9.5. Hands down. That is all. P
