I obviously read this a looooooong time ago. After Sign I think it may have been one of the first BL's I ever read. At the very least I know it was FOR SURE my first ABO/omegaverse one.... and oh what a first it was. Reviewing it so long after I first read it means I won't be able to do it justice by giving the review as much of my feelings of excitement that I felt when i read it the first time. However, it also means that I can now in this review speak to the LONG LASTING impact this story has had on my life and how it has FUNDAMENTALLY changed me as a person hahahaha. Like, wooow. It's been years and since reading this I have never not once been the same. It really..... opened my eyes to the possibilities in this world. Hahaha I know I'm doing a lot but I mean it. Okay, about the actually story, I feel like this is one of those like Cherry Blossoms After Winter and Hold Me Tight where I ain't even got to do too much reviewing. The real review and honest truth about how I feel about these stories will always be in my heart so much so that it's not like I'll forget about what happened in them, you know? Unlike Hold Me Tight and Cherry Blossoms though, this is something I come back to decently oftent o re-read my fav parts of. Particularly the smut. Till this day some of my fav smut to come back to of all time. That probs won't change anytime soon. Park Dojun is just.... so.... Hye-sung will always and forever be one of my fav BL main characters ever. I love that kid, he's the best. Byul will always be one of my fav BL babies. Love him soooo much. Their love story is always gonna be one of my favs. Now for down sides... the main downside of this story is that the author clearly didn't know where to stop :( This is actually one of the worst cases of "the author didn't know where to stop and that ruined the story" that I've ever seen even now. The main story between the two is so wonderful. The story between the side couple dampens it qite a bit IMO. But the real damage is done with everything that comes after the side couple. It sullies the whole piece of art. Not saying I don't want Hye-sung's friend to find love or anything like that, but.... bro who cares???? If we had to extend past the main story as fucking far as we did, I would have much preferred to watch Byul grow up than to try and now care about these people I never cared for too much before. Anyway, I will be coming back to read snippets of this often, but I'll also come back and read it fully from top to finish one of these days. If I could only give it a rating for the main story I would give it a subjective and perhaps unreasonably high score of 9.7 to be completely honest. But because I have to include all that happens after the main story....... I'll settle for giving it a 9.6 :3

*actually finished this long ago* I literally... just had... a Kamissama Kiss moment. Like.... the way it was disgusting how ducking romantic this shit was. Likterally every other scene pulled a big oof with the romantic headass writing style and diction choices in addition to romance-infused plot. I meant come on... three words: red. pinky. rings!!!! Ugh, but like deadass I remember thinking at some point during this that this was not a BL or a webtoon, this was just a manga at this point. A manga that if made into an anime would kill me ☠️. No but deadass now that I just thought about to, this should really be made into an anime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dakaretai Otoko style yes please!

Ah man, this was super quality entertainment bro. Like, every single part of it was. I can say that for barely ever any BL but this one is one of them, entertaining all the way through— never a non-entertaining moment. This is the authors’s first work and it’s extremely easy to tell LOL. I could tell from like, the first chapter. She seems to have only just gotten a firm grasp on her art style before creating this and even then it’s not polished; here are prospective and visual continuity errors sprinkled throughout the entire thing haha. But ugh, the way I looked passed all of that because even if she doesn’t fully have the hang of it yet, she has still chosen to draw in an art style that falls within the realm of my favs. Add that to the fact that this was 77 chapters and from jump I knew that this was one of those BL’s that I adore: long in length, full color Korean manwha!!! Y’all know that’s my jam haha. Anyway, this was wildly good for a first try. Hot scenes were sometimes REALLY hot. The seme’s were to DIE for, way too suave and swoon-worthy bro. Uke wasn’t stupid and/or annoying. The plot kept a bitch on her toes!!, like man you literally did not know where this ploy was taking you next, which is strange because of how much on the surface this whole thing seems like it will be predictable AF. Romance was gushy and sweet and romantic in a way that I could gobble up forever. Honestly the only thing that kept me from thinking that the author had written this BL based off of info she sucked out of my personal desires, was the fact that she didn’t really go for humor much at all. Anyway, I was really on the fence about making this a fav vs an honorable mention. Like the whole time I was reading it I was but especially once I finished. Mainly because of the biggest and only huge glaring issue with this otherwise wonderful work of art: the relationship between the step brothers. Let’s be honest, everybody knows they shouldn’t have been allowed to be together. They were way too wildly toxic for each other and brought out the literal worst in each other to the point where these bitches were committing crimes and dragging other people’s lives to put them at stake for the sake of their personal drama. Pink hair baby boy is mentally unstable, they sold me on it completely without much effort needing to be made, I bought it. Truly seems like an extreme case of borderline personality disorder tbh. Being with the step brother ensures he will never get better. I especially feel bad for baby boy cuz they teased the hell out of us by introducing an entire arc wherein he is living with the man he is meant to be with and got that man falling in love with him and being best seme in the whole damn BL basically just for him to not be with him and instead run back into the arms of this toxic ass step brother. I feel bad for little lover boy ex manager and want to slip my number in his pocket because the moment he gets over pink hair nigga he need to come my waaaaaaaaaaaay . I feel bad for pink hair boi too cuz he’ll never get the help he deserves. You know who I don’t feel bad for? Doyoon or whatever the fuck his name is. I’ll just call him blue eyed devil. I hate that nigga and have from jump. His character motivations were unclear throughout and the whole thing with him being attracted to MC uke when he was a literal child..... sus as fuck ride to play it off and say he was turned on by seeing people cry but..... nah there’s too much to say about that whole messed up situation that I’m not going to even get into ahaha. Aside from that he knows he is and has been toxic to his bother for so many fucking years and knows the brother is mentally unstable yet it always trying to put the blame on him and make him feel like a bother/the problem. He is using and manipulating him when we get down to it and it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to call it long term emotional abuse and/or gaslighting. Have the nerve at the end to be crying talkimboutsome “i L0v3d yOu AlL aLoNg ” Yeah so pink hair got off scotch free for multiple counts of assault, arson, attempted muster, etc..... yet he gets off scotch free because he’s some B-list celeb??.. yikes

Omg stooooop, why was this basically almost all of my fav BL things in one I fucking love this!! 1) art style, 2) teasing, jealous, and HOT seme, 3) the BABIEST-HEAD uke you ever done seen (no but seriously, this here uke is in the running for babiest-head uke for me tbh like for me), 4) ALLLLLL of the comedy , 5) seemless translation and quality scanlation, 6) an adorable epilogue, 7) nice yet not wildly over the top portrayal of sex as well as of body proportions, 8) a lack of contrived & unnecessary, dragged-out to the point of being boring and annoying drama, etc.... I could go on and on and on man . Literally a must have in my favs list bro like ugh, I cannot it’s how wildly underrated this is. Like bro only a 9.1???? Nah at the very LEAST it should be a 9.3 tbh. Ugh, idk for me personally I’d even say a 9.4 . This actually reminds me strongly of another fav that is really underrated (Sono Koi Ni Wa Wake Ga Aru

First of all, eat your heart out Pleasure Principle!!!! Hahaaaha Second of all, THE ONLY THING STOPPING THIS BITCH FROM BEING 5 FUCKING STARS IS THE FACT THAT THE AUTHOR DRPPED IT BEFORE WE COULD GET AN ENDING. And it’s not even like we’re just missing the ending bro, we’re missing a whole second half or really could be a whole two other thirds the way the story was going. There was potential for sooooo much more story and time with these beautiful characters, but alas, I’ll probably never see the day. Damn I was disappointed by that . ...Anyway, good parts? UGH my MC is fucking HILARIOUS hahahahha in a not-really-trying way that not everyone would find this funny but that I certainly do. Ah, he’s so fucking cute and relatable hahaha. Love interest was someone I never truly found all that sexy myself but could get into the headspace of the MC so well I started thinking he was hot af too just because ask se the MC felt that way despite the fact this dude is not my type hahaha. That’s on the outside. On the inside? uwu someone knows what I liiiikeeee lol. Ahh, the way he treats MC is a pretty common BL trope but ramped up to its upper levels of perfection bro like mmmmmm, yes. This goes way beyond “teasing” and more into straight up “seduction”. He was really trying to savor the MC like a fine meal. Power dynamic between MC and love interest is slightly off (naturally lol), but meh it’s a BL. Yeah man I don’t have much more to say. Super hot scenes, wonderfully vibrant colors. Smooth and simple world-building. Mhmmm. The whole thing was beyond entertaining and exciting to me. Hits all the points I strive to find in my next read on this site. Very very nice indeed. Again, if this was ever completed it would not just be 5 stars, but near the tipping top of my fav Bl ever list (nearly rivaling Love is an Illusion- which is saying a damn lot).
