*actually finished this long ago* I literally... just had... a Kamissama Kiss moment. Like.... the way it was disgusting how ducking romantic this shit was. Likterally every other scene pulled a big oof with the romantic headass writing style and diction choices in addition to romance-infused plot. I meant come on... three words: red. pinky. rings!!!! Ugh, but like deadass I remember thinking at some point during this that this was not a BL or a webtoon, this was just a manga at this point. A manga that if made into an anime would kill me ☠️. No but deadass now that I just thought about to, this should really be made into an anime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dakaretai Otoko style yes please!

I know you fucking lying....for a while I kept this in “now reading” instead of “already read”, because I thought it was still going on. Like yeah it saaaaays “complete” but if I had a quarter for every BL on mangago that says it’s complete when it is indeed not complete, I’d have more than enough to do my laundry for a couple of months. So yeah, I thought there’d be more but I’m just now having to come to the realization that maybe that last chapter I read was indeed the ending. If that is the case, I a, now rating this story waaaaaaaaaay lower than I originally was going to. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s not like I ever liked it all that much anyway (and didn’t expect to love it either), but like what in the name of most rushed ending I’ve ever seen did I just see?? Yo, that’s beyond wild. This shit gets like a 8.9 thanks to that ending. Yuck. Aside from all that very engaging art. Kept me reading lol. Oh, and this portrayal of an individual with “multiple personalities” isn’t good for the public discourse surrounding mental health at all. So that’s another reason it’s rated so low

Super sexy uke. Maybe sexiest uke out there (I mean, he is a sucubus after all). He’s not just sexy tho- also dumb cute and stupid in a loveable way. Ugh, such a baby head!!!! The love interest was annoying at times, but I warmed up to him waaay faster than i thought I might. His backstory is

Ummmmmm lol what? Not taking itself seriously at all is a nice trait in this BL. Smut that knows it’s smut. Not lacking plot, but rather making a silly plot with holes that don’t make sense but also that no one minds because (see first point). Reads like a playful fan fic that the author updates occasionally. The art is also really playful and sometimes funnily bad at places. Cute? Enough I guess. Hot? Haha nah not really. Funny? A decently good laugh ngl. So yeah, it was cool. 9.3 fitting

This. Author. Strikes. AGAIN!!!!! Ugh, wow she is too good at making baby heads like what? Ugh, wait not even. She is good at making character who just ARE baby. There’s “you’re a baby head” and then there’s “you are baby”. Ya know? Ao just isssss baby. Yes this BL is great for lots of reasons that are as to be expected from this author. Lovely, fluffy, realistically complex characters. Hot consensual, non-gratuitous yet also not underwhelming sex. And a uke that is baby. Hw we something separates Ao from the others in aytho’s other works but also..... from BL’s I usually read altogether. I want to be topped by lots of the seme’s in these BL’s x obviously right? Then every know and then (rarely, but it hapens), I find a uke that I want to top me as well. This here is the first time I have ever feel the genuine urge to want to top a uke. Like..... Ao is so fucking hot and sexy but also ugh woah way to adorable and I.................... ikindawanttomakehimcry . I literally never thought I’d ever think this way because I’ve always thought is was weird and foreign to me when seme’s mention wanting to do that to the uke in BL’s and also just it being a general Japanese cultural phenomenon of the “cute crying face” thing but ummm yikes, did it really catch me too with this guy? I think it’s most likely due to his moe gap. It... stirs my emotions 9.4

Wildly sweet in its simplistic nature. To the point, not cluttered with any more than it needed, no fat left to trim bro like.... I mean it, this was really concise- and impressively so. Absolutely adorable and healthy couple that deserve the world. Precious and cute baby/baby girl. Wonderful side characters that only ok up as much space as needed. EASILY the most wholesome content in my library. Man, was this BL a true breathe of fresh air!! *sigh* it was a lil magical. Not my a fav, of mine but still a solid 5/5 :3

Okay, lol I’m kind of shallow. At first, I had my reservations about liking this simply because the uke was not very attractive to me. Like, I felt taken aback because he looked cuter on the cover art. Not only that, but for the first one and a half chapters the uke’s skin being as tan as it was in conjunction with his blonde hair made me very uncomfortable (think: Peach Girl). However, I’m stupid because I later found out he’s an absolute baby head lol. I didn’t think I’d forgive seme for hurting uke like that but then seme beat that middle school nigga’s ass and all was well hahaha, the on-sight blow job also helped too! Overall pretty cute however I can’t hide that I am still a bit surprise it’s rated so high? Personally this feels a lot more like a 9.3 than a 9.4, but meh

Okay but wait..... that was actually really nice. This BL is written by the same author who wrote the one about the sunken nipples with the seme that had a tongue piercing or what not. I did not like that BL. I didn’t hate it; I just really wasn’t a fan. I barely managed to finish it because I thought it was so boring. Because of how I need felt about that BL, I had my reservations about this one here. I didn’t think I would like it. However, i tho that it was pretty great! Now that I’ve read two of this author’s works, I’m starting to see some trends. The reads are fast reads. I got through these 20 chapters in the same span of time I usually allot for literally 6 chapters of a regular BL. This isn’t necessarily because of the number of pages or anything, but more interestingly, it is because of how easy this one is to read. This is def webtoon format bare bones- not manga who tends to be way more detailed. There’s no stunning or complicated masterpieces of artwork. However the art is really good (it’s actually my preferred style). There isn’t a lot of background clutter on each page, and this mixed with the fact that her stories don’t tend to be all that complicated plot-wise makes the read fast. However, that second point is also one of these BL’s greatest pitfalls. The stores are so uncomplicated that while she does manage to tell the story, she doesn’t manage to make you feel like you know her characters at all. This story isn’t really something my you feel like you read so much as it is a story that someone told you about. It’s more of a movie trailer than the actual movie. It’s the slim and skinny of it all, the spark notes. So yeah, both of these BL’s had lovely art styles that match my personal tastes (hence me being drawn to them). Both BL’s lacked a whole lot of substance. Difference between the two BL’s is that this one knew it lacked substance so it did is the courtesy of not dragging itself out too much. The lack of substance in these BL’s read in a way that makes the read like they are made my an inexperienced author who is just learning the ropes of webtoon-writing. I’m not mad at it, not at all really, I hope she continues to write more things that I’m sure will continue to be better and better! Anyway yeah, this was pretty cute but not all that cute. It’s was pretty nice yet pretty lackluster as well. Contained aspects mainly BL’s could only wish they could, but missed the mark with many of the staples of story telling. (This BL is suffering from Disney’s Mauna Syndrome) Those such rare highlights include: 1) consent that proves the motto “consent is sexy” ️. 2) Gentle and tender love between seme and uke that does not seem overly soft or sweet of fluffy to the point of unrealistic-ness. 3) No stupid misunderstandings for the sake of moving the plot, but instead genuine misunderstandings that make a lot of sense and get resolved fairly quickly in a realistic manner. 4) A tsundere character that for once I don’t hate lol/a tiny bottom that proves tsundere doesn’t necessitate constantly resorting to violence (because that’s cute right ). 5) A webtoon where the confession comes quick(!!!) leaving time and space to actually explore the relationship afterwards. 6) my MC is the seme??? :o. 7) An unusually sincere, honest, ufront seme who’s just an all around stand-up guy and not sleezy, rapey, (borderline-)abusive, manipulative, etc.... like so many other ones this genre has normalized. You know, maybe I’m reading too much it or the author’s intentions and she didn’t really care to make this a great story. Maybe she just wanted to write some gentle and abundant smut. (If so, great job!!!) Haha, overall this strikes me as a super solid 9.2 :)
