The seme and uke are both tortured souls, poor things, but their bittersweet, passionate love story was such fun to read *licks lips* gochisousama lol. It's on my list of manga that I want to reread. The other 2 in the series were pleasant enough to read, but were a tad too sweet for my liking. I like the way that in the second two manga, the yakuza story was interwoven with the love story, and we got to see how the group of friends/family/yakuza 'brothers' interacted, and how they were able to transition to being upstanding members of society. Ok so it's not a masterpiece or anything, but it's a relatively well crafted, entertaining story, with plenty of h scenes too. Passionate and angsty, bittersweet porn with plot - nice!

So sad, but beautiful!

Even though this is shounen ai, I really want to read it! It sounds good, and for once it actually tells the story of the couple's WHOLE LIFE together!

3.5 stars. At times I thought this was meh, at others beautiful. When it ended I certainly thought that it all came together nicely, and it did make me cry from the beauty and sadness. The whole thing had a bittersweet feeling to it. I liked the inclusion of the fairytale, which worked very well, although it could have been expanded further. I would reread this.
