The Time a Gangster was Reincarnated as Ranmaru Mori
Kill the Lights
I love a level-headed MC. The whole time he was so unbothered but he was so wholesome.
Kimigazer
The art and storyline are the literal cutest—everything looks so moe LMAOO I love the clean lines and just everything about the art style. It’s a simple and short afterlife story, but I liked how the main characters were developed even through such a short time. I like gap moe delinquent MCs already, but the kuudere ML was great because he actually explained why he was so emotionally stunted and that actually played a role into the plot lmao. And he was just so expressive about/to the MC, it was so cute. The meet-cute was also adorable!!
Monster and Ghost
Misunderstood hero delinquent and optimistic ghost. I like the darker vibe it has and the art is STUNNING. The MC and ML both have a strong (yet questionable) sense of justice, but honestly the villain manhua-level bullies make them look like saints LMAO
Sankaku Twilight
The MC was so adorable and he’s like the type of MC I like the best !! Which made it even more infuriating to sit through how the 2nd ML treated him. They truly don’t make love triangles like they used to. The 2nd ML was such a SLEAZE and treated the MC so poorly even as a friend. I miss when you genuinely couldn’t tell who the final pairing would be, kind of like what yaribu is doing (and even then it’s kind of obvious). I felt the shoujo-ness of it all despite the rough attitude of some side characters (especially the 2nd ML’s friends?!). It was satisfying to see the main couple get together, which is the whole point of shoujo love triangles imo, and they were super cheesy, but I still feel like it was kind of rushed and the 2nd ML needed more of a talking to… he was a cunt!! Major ick.
Waterside Night
Egoistic, controlling, obsessive mafia ML actually reflects on his actions and regrets the power dynamic and savior complex he held over the MC’s head?!? He comforts him and tries to boost his self-esteem after realizing he contributed a lot to the development of the MC’s negative self-talk . Like…in-gaslighting him. A rare occurrence indeed. I also really liked how you could feel the hopelessness of the MC and his single caretaker lifestyle for his younger brother. Some works don’t do as good of a job showing how poor the MC’s state of mind is when they’re a single parent/caretaker. Even though ML acts like a sleaze in the beginning, you can tell he only has eyes for the MC and wants to take care of him (even though he doesn’t know how) and the MC deservingly is skeptical of his behavior and tells him off when he should. The miscommunication could be annoying but I thought it added a nice drama feel to the story LMAO.
