Mintfu's manga / #Delinquent(28)

This is supposed to marked complete but why does it feel unfinished… Maybe it’s because I wanted more. The MC is really cute and honestly encouraged more reading of delinquent/gap moe MCs but rarely do they reach the level of gap moe of this MC. The ML was kind of goofy lmao but the whole manga was so it fit the vibe. Honestly one of my favorites bc of the comedy and how likeable the MC was.

Set in omegaverse (Oop!). The MC is a delinquent while the ML is in a yakuza family. It’s a truly satisfying rivals to lovers story. The ML doesn’t know how to convey his feelings, but learns how to care for the MC. He doesn’t come off as the corny possessive stereotype ML, rather, he’s protective, and this trait leads him to becoming a kinder person in general. The MC is DEDICATED to his mans it’s incredibly endearing. They become a family and wild antics + wholesome hours ensue.

Main boy is in a gang to protect the weak from bad guys and his rival gang... does the exact same thing but in a different neighborhood. They’re basically both crime prevention services. The MC and ML are both leaders for their respective gangs that are always butting heads with each other. Lo and behold, the MC has a big fat crush on the ML, but acts like he hates him. He’s a tsundere, but I’ll tolerate it because he’s adorable. The two leads are complete idiots and fall in love with each other. What more do we need?

Interesting magical boy concept that kind of reminded me of Madoka Magica. The whole thing was pretty weird, but the MC was strong-willed and I really liked his character.

You can tell it’s old by the way the characters are written. It’s a great example of how portraying realism in fiction doesn’t necessarily make the story more enjoyable. Both main characters come off as contradicting. Once character development is made, they always revert back to their old habits seconds later. The character development was the most interesting part, but it’s a shame it had to be downplayed by the constant homophobia.

MC Taiga and ML Ryuusei were a famous yankee duo, but after an injury in a fight, Taiga falls into a coma. Ryuusei quits fighting to become a daycare teacher. Taiga wakes from the coma to try to convince Ryuusei to fight by his side again, but ML refuses to protect MC. Bro,,, when I say this is the ultimate bro love story. Taiga is the absolute cutest and one of the reasons why delinquent MCs are my favorite type of MCs. A good reread.

THE BLUEPRINT! When I say this is one of the first BLs I’ve ever read omg— everything about this is so wholesome and it sparked my love for nice and gentle MCs and delinquent types.
