“Isn’t this kind of weird? We both hate ourselves, but we love each other so much we can't bear it." I feel like this line encompasses the manga and the couple so well. Their meet-cute was based in total absurdity (love and devotion at first sight) but they both still appear really human. They both are dealing my with a traumatic past, but they never let that affect their love and care for each other. I also wasn't expecting this manga with such a dark tone to also be very comedic at times. It's fitting and not corny and it establishes itself as a little silly and self-aware very early on. The mob characters are hilarious and there's no real prejudice in the school.

Oh the art style is absolutely majestic and the comedic timing and inner dialogue from the MC is TOO good. The MC is so serious about parenting and has that modern common sense kind of commentary that can easily be corny but it just isn't.

Cottagecore revenge story ! I love just being engrossed in the fantasy setting without having it to be all isekai’d. The design for the ML was great and I liked the internal conflict!! The MC had that naive on the outside mature on the inside vibe.

This is actually so subversive omg. It’s the cliche trash MC gets isekai’d plot without the hegemonic straight male protagonist so ofc there has to be a twist in power dynamic. I was about to say “put the MC in horny jail!” until I realized it was just trauma . The character development is actually enjoyable to see and MC isn’t OP like it appeared in the beginning. Convenient plot only gives him so much, which was refreshing to see, but also you actually get to root for him when he struggles. The relationship he has with the ML had turned out so wholesome too :’(. And the clothing design is gorgeous omg I want more webtoons to be this skilled/creative with their fantasy clothing.

Really short but the assassin trope is so fun and the MC was so pretty

I know I said I was tired of the clearly evil 2nd ML vs kind ML trope in love triangles, but this one does a better job at making the 2nd ML more likeable, even if he’s a little vain and selfish lmao. He still cares about the MC and his family members that I feel like in a different manhwa he’d be the ML. Does he disregard the MC’s feelings and is obsessive? Ofc, but a lot of another manga excuse that lmao. Also his dynamic with the ML is actually pretty natural and comedic, so I feel like they’d be able to coexist in another world too. The MC is the “previously naive to the ways of the world but gets a crushing reality check” trope and it was excuted really nicely, partially thanks to the historical era I think.

The MC was so mistreated by the world and so mentally ill it was so pitiful ️ Like I understood the early 1900s wasn't the most accommodating era to live in but dear god the trauma the MC goes through was actually so overlooked even by the ML. The ML and MC separate because of the war and the MC's crime, and when they reunite it's a Count of Monte Cristo moment where the ML has been completely hardened and jaded and the MC has to put up with the mistreatment to rekindle and rebuild the relationship . It's hard to watch but omg the drama is so interesting.

The devotion and royal setting is always fun, but for some reason this felt incomplete and it had a lot of potential with the characters. I liked the main servant girl her design was so cute. It was weird how the ML is so young for like half the manga tho like I don’t understand why they decided to do that. The MC was elegant and strong-willed, and his design was so pretty.
