The Terminally Ill Side Character Inside of a Martial Arts Novel

Ongoing | Garamdal,Chigul | 2019 released
2020-08-09 17:42 marked

Promotional one shot for a web novel, I believe? The cover art is beautiful, but the actual art in the webtoon is average. It doesn't really make me interested to read the novel, since if you're terminally ill, you're going to die regardless of what path you decide to choose. Also, just finishing the male love interest's sentence automatically made him like her? Please.

Suddenly I Decided to Become The Female Lead

Ongoing | Garam-dal,Nubi | 2019 released
2020-08-09 17:50 marked

Another promotional one shot for a web novel, I believe. The art is average, and I don't feel like reading the rest of it in novel form. She's reincarnated into the villainess's right hand woman, but attracts the attention of the crown prince somehow. Not that creative, but it doesn't grab me or excite me in any way.

Shokugeki no Sanji

Complete | Yuuto Tsukuda | 2000 released

Sanji in his element. Not really a shokugeki, but it's awesome. And the food critic strips after eating his food.

Eiga Koe no Katachi Special Book

Complete | Ooima Yoshitoki | 2000 released
2020-10-12 19:29 marked

Small one-shot for Koe no Karachi, giving insight into the girl's mother, and why she's so tough on her daughter. Short but sweet.

Why Do You Love Me When I Refuse Your Request?

Ongoing | Seo yoo-ah,Moran | 2019 released
2020-10-28 01:07 marked

The art is cute. Panelling is fine, flow is understandable and pacing is good, not confusing and overloaded with events like other promo one shots. I would be interested in reading more. The story seems to be a cross of I Am A Child of This House x Who Made Me A Princess, both of which I liked. I wish that it focuses more on childhood than quickly growing up the main character though, since that's what happened to those two webtoons, and it got less interesting from there in both instances. We'll see if this ever becomes serialized as a webtoon.

Forget About My Husband, I'd Rather Go Make Money

Ongoing | Joo haeon,Banmu | 2019 released
2020-11-21 19:25 marked

Promotional one shot with some typical story about a girl who marries for political reasons, but then decides to go off on her own path. Nothing particularly distinguishing about her story, she seems like a basic shoujo fantasy webtoon female lead. She has some magic vision but since it's just a promo, it doesn't really go into how she'll use this power. Art is below average.

First, Let's Hide My Younger Brother

Ongoing | 채지후,오지혜 | 2000 released
2021-01-09 21:58 marked

This promo was a complete mess. Nothing made any sense, and honestly, I didn't feel compelled to read the novel this is probably advertising. Like why does she need to go in place of her brother? Just avoid it altogether. Why is she dressed like a female and why is the male yandere also dressed like a female in school? Is this some weird crossdressing school where guys need to be feminine? Also, the eye patch thing is so lame. I don't know why people have an eye patch fetish, it's a little disturbing for me. Having an eye patch doesn't make you more appealing. Especially in real life. The art was so average too.

The Lady Wants to Rest

Ongoing | Yuin,Nokcy | 2019 released
2021-01-09 22:34 marked

I'm not a fan of immortal beings who've lived forever since mankind began, nor of people who've reincarnated countless times and remember everything. These types of stories lack creativity, because no one has possibly experienced this in real life to write a character that could have actually gone through so much. Every life is different, and if you don't know what it was like, you can't write about it, because you're limited by your imagination. She says she's been a mage, a swordmaster, a musician, blah blah, and now she'll just chill for this life. How unappealing of a character can you be? You've supposedly gone through all this and you're not going to try something different this time around? Yeah, I don't buy it. No one can live a life without doing anything, it's impossible. Things will happen to you, regardless of what you want. I thought you would already know that, having living so many lifetimes, hmmm? Yeah, she's just stupid and I can't like her. It's a little despicable and insensitive to people who are struggling to live out just their one life here AKA us normal human readers. The art is above average though, so I'm just going to blame the writer of this webtoon because they're completely uninspired.

When My Pet Became the Villain

Complete | SEO Jaemi,Hunya | 2000 released
2021-01-10 00:10 marked

This webtoon makes no sense. The introduction of the types of people that exist is weird, they're literally One, Two, Three, Four in Spanish. And what is the purpose of Cero? Why is she calling someone she's never met a villain? I can't even tell if this is isekai or not. How the hell did her dog become a person? WTF??? The art is average. The puppy is the best part of the promo, hands down.

A Trivial Extra in a Dating Sim

Ongoing | Charity | 2019 released
2021-01-10 00:14 marked

I'm confused why she's called a trivial extra, because it seems like she's the main character, who is a saint. Why did the game even bother asking her to choose and confirm her love target if it's fine to pursue any of them to win the game? That was just idiotic. It would have made more sense to show all the available types of men to date, and then she clicked enter, and then give her the mission once she transmigrated. Has the author even played an Otome game before? Literally, you don't choose from the very beginning, you fall into a path, or you actively chase after your desired target. How ridiculous. The art is average for this kind of webtoon.
