man, i’ve missed this. it’s been so long since i read this that i’ll probably reread it once i decide to continue. it’s been FOREVER. anyway, i’m looking forward to it!

my god, this one’s epic. and there’s only one epilogue chapter left… fml, imma cry. ;-; anyway, this is DEFINITELY worth checking out, you guys. i guarantee you won’t be disappointed. even calling it epic could be considered an understatement… bruh. although y’all should do so on webtoon where it’s available for free. let’s support this incredible creator!!!

This being the very first shounen ai comic I read, I had little to no idea what to expect. Now I think it’s fairly easy for me to admit my obsession with this story, lol. It opened up a whole new world for me! At this point in time, I’ve read “At the End of the Road” three times. In less than three weeks, no less... Seriously. #noregretstho Despite this manhwa having received a couple of negative reviews on here—albeit most of them ARE positive, naturally—I still consider it to be one of my absolute favorites. This has become my go-to read whenever I feel... nostalgic, kind of?? Or whenever I hear a song I’ve previously associated it with, I think about Woojin and Taemin and start smiling like some kind of a crazy motherfucker, lol. Can’t help it. I love these two. Either way, I’m really excited to see what Haribo’s planning regarding (possible) future stories! I’d probably read anything of his at this point. Yuuuup. (edit: i’ve been following ‘mad dog’ since its initial release back in june of 2021, and dude, it’s fucking INCREDIBLE. so fucking great, man… this guy knows what he’s doing. i just adore his work!!! season one was wrapped up nicely back in early february of 2022, so now i’m simply awaiting the release of season two! enthusiastically awaiting, that is. heh. it’s going to be epic, i already know it.) - — - — - — - — - Soooo, I’m just about to read this manhwa again… for the sixth time. well, the art is unfortunately pretty underwhelming… and the storytelling itself is impersonal and unnecessarily straightforward. although i’m only 13 chapters in at this point, i’m feeling more than a little bit disappointed. nonetheless, i’m hoping for a turnaround soon! and hopefully it’ll include something along the lines of 1) a more engaging art-style, 2) complex characters with continuous character development, and 3) overall improvements in this not-so-intricate writing. i mean, it’s just messy and emotionally lacking. i know who our MC is, but i don’t know what makes him ‘stand out’ from the others… other than the fact that he’s thoroughly prepared and generally well-versed in the matter of apocalyptic realities—courtesy of his regression. man. it’s just freakin’ BORING. zombies and violence should be bringing some excitement!!! there’s no buildup and no sense of growth whatsoever. we were just suddenly thrown into a semi-strange, dystopian plot. ughhh… i don’t want to give up on this already, but i’m tempted to just drop the whole thing. i’ll stick around for 10 more chapters; just to try and figure out what the actual prospects are, but i definitely won’t be holding my breath. anyway, see ya!!! (well, maybe. hopefully... probably not.)

one chapter in and i can already tell… i’m about to be completely amazed, aren’t i? edit: HE’S SO FUCKING COOL!!! what an amazing character he is. i seriously can’t locate even one flaw… but there must be at least one, right? lololol, this is getting interesting. edit #2: … …did i seriously waste 20-25 minutes writing a full-fledged review of this masterpiece on here only to have it DISAPPEAR ON ME???? un-fucking-believable. either way, i don’t have the energy to rewrite everything. just know that it’s spectacular and i’m seriously impressed by the creators. it’s giving me INSANE solo leveling vibes. although i don’t know exactly why; the plots aren’t at all similar to each other. however, i’m guessing it’s because of the insane buildups and climaxes consisting throughout the whole thing. these authors know how to keep their readers engaged, that’s for sure. it might also be the fact that MC is on a whole other level of superiority than his peers in each respective story, lol. either way, solo leveling is my absolute favorite comic there is, so to say that this one is ‘similar-but-not-at-all-similar’ is seriously high praise. you must check it out if you haven’t already! (it has a 9.9/10 rate on here for a reason, you guys.) but anyway!!! to put it simply, this is fucking epic. EPICEPICEPIC. pure epicness. i’ve read some amazingly written martial arts comics lately, but this one is definitely at the top. (if y’all want some OTHER martial arts story recommendations, i recommend checking out that martial arts tag of mine! it has about 100 comics in it as of right now.) sigh. what a day. believe it or not, but this review is actually shorter and way less detailed than my previous one, lol. i’m feeling less eloquent by the minute, y’all!!! have mercy.

teehee, i’m loving the peerless dad vibes. <3 anywho, it’s been great thus far! i’m only 12 chapters in at the moment, but i’m already excited and i’m looking forward to future chapters. i’d call that a decent start. ;) edit: this family is so fucking badass. HYPE. i seriously can’t contain myself when shit gets real, lololol. this is so good. i gotta say, i love the moment just before the attack begins. it’s so satisfactory when them enemy asses are beat. i don’t even care how predictable the outcomes are; they fire me up!!! those stories are the best. that’s why solo leveling is my absolute fave, lol. literally nothing beats those epic climaxes. anyway, i just stopped by to say my praise!!! do carry on. edit #2: Y’ALL NON-READERS COULDN’T POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND HOW GOOD THIS SHIT IS TF edit #3: rereading this masterpiece while awaiting updates and now the prologue and first chapter actually make a lot of sense to me, much unlike the first time around. this’ll be fun! edit #4: when you get so hyped up that you end up either squealing “my baby” semi-quietly or shouting “KIIIING!!!” semi-loudly by the end of every chapter like a motherfucking simp, lololol. (sometimes i even slice things up by mashing them together. sometimes i even do both.) no, but seriously. I. LOVE. HIM. precious lil’ bean. rereading this was such a wise decision on my part. i understand everything in so much more detail now, too!!! and i’m paying way more attention to their names while making connections and spotting affiliations that i never did in the past. ahhh, the joy. manhwa is such a wonderful thing! can’t wait to watch everything unfold once again. i’m super stoked.

that’s my sword queen!!! i adore her. and the story as a whole, obviously. she’s really, really admirable and a great female lead. binged this whole thing until i passed out and then continued the minute i woke up this morning, lol. i have no regrets, though! it’s truly amazing.

broooo... this guy is next level OP, bro!!! (isn’t he basically a god at this point?) but ohhh, man. i love this already. have no idea what more to expect from this plot-wise for season two, though! since his stats have literally been maxed out since episode one or something, and most of the “important” arcs had their closure in season one. maybe season two will be more about his family, hmm? guess we’ll see. ;) what’s the manhwa really about if not real-life experiences and personal growth, hmm? i’ve been feeling thoroughly entertained, at all times, especially close to the end of season one. the power-trips had me in full-body SHIVERSSSS. super excited to see where this goes!!!
